Are you sealed? #Holy #Spirit #Sealed

Ephesians 1:13 Names of God Bible (NOG) 13 You heard and believed the message of truth, the Good News that he has saved you. In him, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit whom he promised. Well, are you sealed with the Holy Spirit?  I believe that when I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior, I received His stamp of approval and a mark showing that I am a child of God.  In the Holy Spirit, we are sealed and that is that.  Today so if you are worried about this, that or the other, relax and remember that you are a Child of the highest God.  You are covered by His seal by the Holy Spirit.  There is nothing that can stand against you because you are a person chosen by God. Think about it, it was no coincidence that you became a child of God.  God called you by name, He told you that you are His and guess what, God knows where you live.  God knows your every move and He knows your needs and will answer you when you pray. Prayer
Heavenly Father, Lord our God humbly we thank You fo…

Get rid of “fear” once and for all!

Isaiah 51: 7 (NIV)
7  “Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have my law in your hearts:  Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults.”
There was a time in my life that I used to be so fearful I even felt I could not leave my house.  The fear was so intense that I was even frightened to go into the garden.
Fear overtook my thoughts and I was stuck in my own little world.  Crying and praying and crying I took my Bible and sat on my bed.  Tears pouring down my cheeks, I could hardly believe what my life had become.
As I sat there and prayed asking the Lord to help me, my Bible fell open on Isaiah 51.  My eye caught verses 7 and I sat there reading the verse.
You see my problem was I could not find a job and it felt like my entire life was falling apart.  I tried everything I could to get my life on track.
The key to my dissolving the fear I felt was as follows:
·I decided to trust the Lord my God fully. ·I spoke to Him in prayer and told Him what was…

My life in a nutshell!

This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118: 24

Veering off my normal daily devotional today, I thought I would give you a glimpse into my world.
We live in Mpumalanga and my goodness we get out of bed bright and early, at 06h00 am and then the day starts.  I never jump back into bed, I make the bed and then get started.  Its coffee and breakfast and then the kids are off to school and the husband is off to work.
So now you think I have the privilege of sitting around doing nothing.  I wish!
Long story short, I have a really mundane life and it entails washing and ironing and cleaning.  In between cooking as well and then I want to still do my blogs.
Today I was researching music for my program and checking the formatting and getting my material read for Thursday’s hour.  Tell you what, it was a hair-raising moment every now and then.
I am so grateful that the Lord God has been faithful and been watching over me, I bring all I do to the Lord in p…

#LORD our #God is with us!

Zephaniah 3: 17
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
What a Mighty God we serve, to think that the LORD our God is with us and he is mighty to save each one of us.  I am so awed by the thought that God takes great delight in us.  Which to mind means that He is happy with each one of us.  He is proud of us and is standing over us watching us.  You know when you start to feel uncertain and fearful and suddenly calmness comes over you that is when God is covering you with a quietness and His love is covering you.  The most important thing also to note is that God rejoices over you and with singing.
Let us not lose sight of our God, let us learn to speak positively and speak in line with Gods word.  Trusting and believing that God is faithful and that He cares for each one of us.  How awesome to know that He loves us and is with us right this very minute.

Where are you going to? #Future #Forward #Travel

Genesis 11:31-32 (ESV)
Let’s see what happened in Genesis 11 verses 31.  We see that Terah was traveling and took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife and they left Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan.  Then they got sidetracked and when they came to Haran, probably like the place and they settled there.  Terah actually live to 205 years and died in Haran.  The dream Terah had was to travel to Canaan but they he got sidetracked, he stopped over in Haran and decided it will do. Now, where are you going to?  Are you on your way to your Canaan and have you taken a shortstop and been sidetracked? In order to move forward, we need to enlarge our vision and see what it is God has in store for us.  God placed a dream within your heart and now, you are sitting still not doing anything about it.  I want to encourage you today, you have been made for more than enough, don’t settle for where you are.  Keep moving forwa…

#I love you#Jesus#

1 John 4:7 (NKJV) Knowing God through Love Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Love is something that you cannot keep but that you have to give away.  As you start your day, let’s think about acts of love.  Being friendly and kind, encouraging someone that is feeling down, giving someone a hug when they feel dreadful.  By smiling at a stranger who looks like clouds of “thunder and lightning” are all around them. We see in Ephesians 4 verse 2 “be completely humble and gentle; be patient; bearing with one another in love.”  1 Peter 4 verse 8 “above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sin.”  As you focus and think on these precious words today, may I say ‘I Love you!”  May your day be filled with a hug, kisses, and loads of friendly people, smiles, and hugs coming to you today. Prayer
O Lord, thank you that we can come in humble prayer to You, help us to give our love away so that others ca…

Lord, help me recognize my calling #gratefulness#gifts#fulfilling#

Philippians 2:13 (AMP) 13 For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. God put a dream in my heart and I have been contemplating it, dreaming about it and playing with the possibility of actually doing it.  I then started 3 years ago, I started writing my Daily Devotional Book, I asked God for the necessary wisdom and insight.  God is awesome and I received it but then every now and then I would lose sight of my dream and allowed the devil to make me feel that it was an impossibility.
I wrote my Daily Devotional over three years and I finally completed it last year.  I then prayed about my book which I refer to “our book”.  The Lord God’s and mine, the reason for it being “our book” is because I believe God inspired me to write it.
Thank You, Lord my book has been accepted for publishing.  I am curr…

God see you, all the time!

2 Chronicles 16: 9 (NLT)
9 The eyes of thelordsearch the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.”
Today let me encourage you and let you know that you are not alone.  God see you and is searching the whole earth to strength ‘Those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.”  Awesome, a Mighty God is on your side, strengthening you.
Many times we go through life feeling useless and left out, nowhere to go and also all alone.  You might see your friends and family going forward doing well, looking at your own circumstances you cannot see a way forward.
Be encourage today, God is searching the “whole world” for you, and He sees you.  Call out to Him today, praise His Holy Name, see how He will lift Your life and bring you into your good future!

Dear Lord thank You, for this encouraging word for today, we are so grateful that You search the whole world for the faithful and those committed…

Believe in Your Future

Hebrews 3:14-15 (NASB) 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end, 15 while it is said, “Today if you hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked Me.”

It’s a Monday and I have so much to take care of, last Monday I was wondering “what on earth am I going to do with all my time.”  Guess what, I have a whole lot of things to attend to.
My heart was heavy and I was concerned about my future, although everywhere I went someone was telling me that my future is bright and something is on its way.
Believing in the Lord Jesus is really important to each of us.  Without the Lord, we are nothing, we will act like brutes and be rude and never consider other people.  Our lives will be self-centred and we will do just as we please.
Then with the Lord Jesus, we become more and more like the Lord, we love people unconditionally, we take care of their needs and we look out for them.  We help people in need and we look …

Invest in your future #Goodattitude#GodisWatching#

Galatians 6:7 (NKJV) Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. This all boils down to your attitude, how you deal with your lives circumstances and what is inside of you, can you show mercy and lover?  Are you working at being kinder towards people who are darn right rude?  Are you dealing with forgiveness in your own life?  Dropping the feelings of anger and moving on, living a happier life? God is watching each one of us, whatever we are doing He can see it.  You have the ability to read and understand His word.  Look carefully at these words, “for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Speaking to the converted, today is my challenge to you, forgive someone that hurt you.  Help someone who disappointed you.  Speak life into the persons lives that makes you crazy and is constantly trying to upset your life.  Forgive the person who speaks ill of you constantly, pray for the person asking the Holy Spirit to deal with them. Spread the g…

Say no to sin.

Genesis 3:4-6 (TLB)
“That’s a lie!” the serpent hissed.  “You’ll not die! God knows very well that the instant you eat it you will become like him, for your eyes will be opened—you will be able to distinguish good from evil!”  The woman was convinced.  How lovely and fresh looking it was!  And it would make her so wise! So she ate some of the fruit and gave some to her husband, and he ate it too.
You know one thing that I have noticed here is that the woman desired to become wise and she wanted to distinguish good from evil.  When she listened to the serpent who was selling her the forbidden fruit, these things must have been on her mind.
Sin is always present we all know good from evil the thing is are we willing to let go of sin and take hold of good?
Our desires are always on our minds.  We want so many things and we do desire so much in this world.  The sad part is that we do not understand that we are just here for a short while and then we are on our way to heaven.  We need to…

What comes out of your mouth?

Luke 6: 45 “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.  For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”
Sitting and listening to many people, it is obvious what is going on in their hearts.  Some people are full of vengeful and negative words; it comes rushing out like a raging river going down the rapists.  Then you will speak to someone and their words are sweet and refreshing, constantly talking of improving and try to help and encourage other people.
Job 6: 25 “How painful are honest words!  But what do your arguments prove?”  The best is when you point out that the person is truly negative and has a really bad attitude you, should be careful they can turn on you.  I have seen the disdain and disrespect jump out on their faces.  It’s almost as if you are trying to humiliate them and they feel offended at the truth being spoken.
It seems that I am the Sheriff and I normally tend to…

Prince of Peace [Jesus Christ]

Isaiah 9: 6
His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father and The Prince of Peace.

“Precious Friendship”

1 Corinthians 1: 4 (NIV)
4 I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that friends are important to our personal lives.  Sometimes our families live.  Friends could be someone that lives right next door, someone really special and great.
I have a really great and precious friend, she is much older than me and she sometimes reminds me of my own mom.  She is fun, outgoing and enjoys all kinds of arts and crafts.  Her name is Elma Le Roux, she is a great friend and someone that I feel I can trust and always count on.  God truly blessed me with a special and precious friend.
My other friend lives far away and she is just so special to me.  She is Lynette van Rensburg, a great friend, confidant and has always been there for me.  I really miss my friend.
My life would be boring without her friendship.
Let’s keep our friends close and look after the precious friends in our lives.

Abba Father, today I want to pray for my precious…

# Future

Isaiah 3:10Living Bible (TLB) 10 But all is well for the godly man. Tell him, “What a reward you are going to get!” Today it is my privilege to come to you with this wonderful news, ‘What a reward you are going to get!’ This year is going to be your year of great and wonderful opportunities, God is going to open doors for you that has always been closed.  You are going start that book you always thought of writing, you are going to take control over your eating habits, you are going to save the money to take that trip you have always dreamed about. You only have ‘Future’ ahead of you.  I want to encourage you today to grab hold of this one word ‘Future’ and think of the possibilities it has for you.  Nothing, but nothing can come before you and the Lord your God.  God said in Isaiah ‘Tell him, “What a reward you are going to get!” Godly woman or man – your future is bright and waiting for you.  Prayer Abba Father, as godly women and men we come before You today asking humbly give us the wis…

My Bucket list [so far]

New York City
I would like to visit the Empire State Building; eat a Hot Dog at one of the street stalls. Check out the Statue of Liberty; make my way to Ellis Island Immigration Museum; the go to the American Museum of Natural History; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Guggenheim Museum and 9/11 Memorial.  To think of a view place in New York and of course the Brooklyn area.
When in Ireland would love to go to Dublin’s Barney Castle, then to the cliffs of Moher
When in Australia; Brisbane and visit with my brother and his family.  Something I would love to do; my entire family has been overseas except me, I think I should also travel my goodness.

You cannot hurt me! [Protected by the Blood]

Isaiah 57: 17 (NIV) 17 No weapon will be able to hurt you; you will have an answer for all who accuse you. Something my friend told me, made me think of how the people that acted in this way towards her really feel about her.
A second marriage, children from the previous marriage and friends invited for a stayover.  The children go out to purchase pizza for the family and on their return they bring pizza. On the distribution of the pizza’s a joke was made that the step-mom needed to settle for the small size pizza and the rest received large pizzas; they forgot to actually order one for her and besides their cash ran out.
Seems there are really interesting people in this world. The fact is actions speak louder than words, theirs were screaming at her.

Abba Father, thank You that we may humble ourselves in your presence and that we may pray about everything.  Thank You for the knowledge that ‘no weapon will be able to hurt us, we will have an answer for all who accuse us.’  G…

‘Times of trouble.’

Psalm 37: 39 ‘The Lord saves righteous men and protects them in times of trouble.’
This year started off with a bang, a number of things started on the wrong foot.  It started with trouble at home, trouble with finances, trouble with mom, and trouble with children – trouble – trouble.
It’s difficult to explain all these strange happenings, but as a child of God, I speak and invoke God’s blessing into my own life.  The Lord saves me, for I am the righteousness of God in Christ and now in the face of my trouble I call on His name for help.
O Lord, humbly I commit my life into Your hands, please understand my heart and see my concerns.  You know my biggest fear I face and I bring this matter to You, please Lord help me.  In the name of the Lord Jesus.  Amen

“Taking every thought and purpose captive …” [Jesus Christ]

2 Corinthians 10:5 Amplified Bible
We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,
Something I need to share today is that it is much easier to say ‘take every thought and purpose captive’.  My own experiences have taught me that yes, sometimes I have the ability to check myself, watch my words and thoughts.  Then sometimes I lose control and I fail dismally.  That is why I believe God has given each one of us the ability to read and understand His word (Bible).  The discipline is to read our Bibles each and every day, getting out of bed and making some time to spend in the Word of God. We need that time to learn and grow spiritually.
Lord our God, today I commit my life into Your hands and humble myself asking that through the Holy Spirit, Lord You will help me learn more about whom You really are, taking each and e…

What is the greatest hindrance to revival in our Churches?

Matthew 5:23-24 (NLT)
23 “So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, 24 leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.
Thinking of the characteristic and traits the Lord Jesus showed the disciple and made them apostles was the Lord’s focus.  Jesus Christ our Lord focused on the other cities (Luke 4: 43); He was concerned about the lost souls and unsaved people (Matthew 27: 42) and he worried about the lost sheep (Joh 10: 16).
Tell me am I, wrong but we are more concerned about ourselves.  The self-opinionated person, you know the three put together “Me, Myself and I”.  Once we drop all the “Self” and ask the Lord Jesus to come into our lives; change is upon us and we will see a revival.
O Lord, as we think of all the wrongs we have done, forgive us and help us to make a change for the better.  Dropping our self-op…

Daylight, even at night-time!

Zechariah 14: 7 “There will always be daylight, even at night-time.”
It may be night-time here in South Africa but I realize that the daylight is now in America.  I actual fact daylight is a given, we know that there are 24 hours in one day, and we know it is split into daylight and night-time.  We are being reminded that God is still in control and that even when it seems dark the daylight is not far away.
Looking for positive things in my life, I have decided to stay on the daylight; I want to be like sunshine, happy and warm.  I feel miserable in cold weather.  I cannot function, my joints freeze up and I become stiff and cannot move.  When the sun is out I can do almost anything I put my mind to.  I must be a sunshine kid.
God know when He placed me in South Africa, this is the right climate for me.  Cold weather and I just don’t go so well.
I pray you have a wonderful and great awesome and fantastic day, I pray that all the right people will come into your life and that only go…

Today what can we do to hear the voice of God? [God’s Voice]

Today what can meditate on hearing the voice of God?
As I focus and mediate on God’s Word I am reminded that Jeremiah was talking to the Israelites about False Religion and that at the end of the day this religion was worthless.  Making a mental note of what is taking up all my time, keeping me so busy that I cannot get to what is important to me I have come to realise I have not been hearing the voice of God.
Why?  Well, I am cooking, cleaning house, washing clothes and not for getting to iron the clothes.  It has become so overwhelming and time consuming I have not taken 5 minutes from my busy schedule to pray.  Shamefully that has been true over the past couple of weeks.  Then I get frustrated and it overwhelms me because I feel I have lost touch with God.
Of all the people I know, that I am the stubborn one, and because of my stubbornness I fall very often.  The children are going back to school and my husband is back to work.  I seem to have some free time.
I don’t know how perf…

2017! Happy New Year! [God Bless you]

I want to take this opportunity in wishing each and every one of you a blessed and happy New Year.  2017 is a year my daughter is praying for restoration, in my life as well as in the lives of my friends and family.   I want to pray that you will also find restoration.  I pray that where you need finances, health, relationships or whatever your needs is that it will be restored.
God is awesome and has blessed both you and me with a New Year.  We have no idea as to what it holds; each day is like a blank page, waiting for us to write our story.  My second day and I cannot wait to see how awesome my God is.
It is my heart’s desire to listen to God and hear His voice.
May we draw closer to the Lord our God and may our hearts and minds be centered on Him, building our relationship with Him, listening to His voice and obeying it.
You are precious and God loves you, thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts and hopes and dreams.

Bless you!
