How remarkable are you?

Philippians 2: 13 (NLT)

13 God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what please Him.

One thing I have realized not you or I have the ability to do great things, if God does not give us the remarkable abilities to do them.  Today as I study and focus on the Lord God, I must be honest in telling You that I want to be remarkable.  I want to be excellent; I want to achieve the highest goal in my life.  I have never been able to do anything outstanding – great – magnificent or even remotely remarkable.

What will make me remarkable?  What will make me excellent?  How can all I do become something great and outstanding?  Do you know how to achieve this?  I want it, I want to be everything God created me to be.  I want to also do everything in Honoring my God.

Prayer

Almighty God, if I am too ambitious and if my motives are wrong, please show me.  Today in boldness I come to YOU LORD God Almighty, I am asking give me the wisdom, insight and understanding I need to achieve being remarkable.  In the Holy Name of Jesus, Amen

I burst out in songs of praise to HIM.

Psalm 28:7 (TLB)
He is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trusted in him, and he helped me. Joy rises in my heart until I burst out in songs of praise to him.

Life is too short and I don’t want to make the mistake of not being grateful for my own life, the clothes on my back, the food on my plate, the job I can come to.

What I have seen and come to realize people take small gifts for granted, they aren’t grateful for the unexpected chocolate, packet of chips or a beautiful flower, perhaps a pendant.

It’s ah that’s nice but is that all?  The Lord holds a shied over us and when we trust in Him he helps us, so let joy rises from your hearts until you burst out in songs of praise to HIM.

Prayer
You Lord are a shield about me, I will burst out with songs of joy to bring YOU honor and glory and I will praise YOU Lord God Almighty, You are my Lord and I love and honor and praise YOU Holy Name.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

By MY Spirit!

Zechariah 4:6 Living Bible (TLB)

Then he said, “This is God’s message to Zerubbabel:[a] ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty—you will succeed because of my Spirit, though you are few and weak.’

Confirmation from God is always necessary when we do something we feel with affect our lives going forward, a life changing event.  When you need to move to another province or a country of changing a job, that is when you should be speaking to God in prayer.

We sometimes just act and when things turn out negatively; tears of regret flow and we feel badly, we should have gone the route of God’s grace and mercy but no, we thought we are able to deal with this on our own.

Today as you mediate on God’s word, remember it’s not ‘by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit, says the LORD Almighty!’

You are a blessing, Prayer is the way forward.

Prayer
Humbly Lord Almighty, I come asking for Your Spirit to guide me going forward, I believe You are able to work it out for me today.  In the Holy Name of Jesus, Amen

‘What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger’

2 Corinthians 4: 8-9 (NIVUK)

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

In real life we all face interesting and difficult times in our lives, your job is coming to an end, you don’t know whether you will find something else in time.  Your children drive you crazy and just don’t listen.  Your finances are in a state and you just don’t see how you are going to cope with the bills.  The list is endless, then you may have heard this song ‘What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger!’

As Christians, life is just as difficult and I believe sometimes even worse than not being a Christian.  It seems we seem to see more ‘flames’ than most people.  Our pressure grows and because we are Christians, it seems more intense.  I remember telling my one friend that I really don’t want to be elastic.  She asked me why, I said ‘I think God pulls me out, out, out and it seems I am going to break.  Just like elastics.’  She turned around say ‘No, God gives you what you can handle that very minute.’  True.

A common destiny for all ~ Wednesday saga

Ecclesiastes 9:7 (NIVUK)
Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.

Something I realized today, I used to be so worried about my weight and what I look like that I used to deprive myself of eating a real proper meal.  Lately I eat and enjoy good food, the taste of some of the food I enjoy makes my mouth water when I think about it.  I have become a little plumb but hey, I am in my fifties, my goodness I don’t want to look like a rake any more.

God has blessed me with some nice foods to enjoy, and I want to enjoy it, food makes everybody happy even me.  So enjoy your food, love your life and know God blessed you to live your best life now.  So for those who are plumb – you are gorgeous darling.  You are!!

Enjoy today, we are celebrating heritage day, I am supposed to represent Zimbabwe, but I didn’t realize the colors I chose are actually Tanzania or Brazil.  Oh, well, they don’t mind I love the colors.
