#Walk Carefully, God is watching!

Ephesians 5: 15 – 16 AMP “Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people]’ making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.”

I want to prophesy over your life as well as over my own, that I want to live my life purposefully, with courage and I want to make a difference.  I want to encourage my family and friends.  I want to become more and more like the Lord Jesus Christ in character.  I have submitted my own life into the Lord Jesus Christ’s hands.  I have declared that the life-saving blood of Jesus Christ is over my life this very minute.

I proclaim that I am nothing without the Lord Jesus Christ in my own life, I have failed Him on so many levels, that I know without a doubt that I am nothing.

I want to grab hold of this day with both my hands serving Him with praise and honoring Him day and night.  Giving thanks to the Father God for sending His precious Son Jesus Christ to pay a debt that I would never have been able to pay.  For allowing me to have the opportunity of becoming a new creation, a child of the Most High God.

I will live my life with optimism and I will not allow negative thoughts to plague my mind any longer.  For I believe that only Goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of my Lord Jesus Christ.  I am a new creation in the Lord Jesus Christ.  All praise and honor to His Holy Name.

Prayer

Abba Father, Lord you know my past failures, the sins that I have committed have been plaguing my life for many years.  I have confessed my failures and sins to You as well as to the people I have sinned against.   Father, I remind You that You have said that if we confess our sins and we bring this to You in humble prayer that You will forgive us and set us free.  I have confessed my sins.  Please Abba Father, I remind You to please bring me back into Your house.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen

Proactive thinking

Philippians 3: 13 KJV “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,”

Many people are hurting and have faced a couple of difficult situations, sometimes these battles are a fork in the road so to speak.  I had a couple of battles that I faced in my life that was the so-called fork in the road.

The thing that caught my attention today is once I relive or think back, I become so depressed and despondent it makes me angry and I feel worthless.

What is my answer to these really bad feelings?  I need to be proactive in my thinking, pushing these memories away and replacing them with happy memories or to start focusing on something new.

My proactive thoughts are now moving me to focus on the Word of God (Bible), as I page through my Bible I look for verses to help me feel happy, and move me into another state of mind.

I take practice and it is hard work because I also forget about being proactive and sometimes just feel totally sorry for myself.  As I think of the words of the verse above I stretch my thoughts and I start dreaming of something that I so desire.  Something that makes me happy.

Prayer

Abba Father, as we leave our hurt and pain behind from our past, we want to renew our thought life and be more proactive in our thinking.  Lord, we want to stay focused on the Lord Jesus and we want to cloth ourselves with You Lord.  As the blood of Jesus covers us right now we ask to help us let go of the past and move into another dimension of renewing our thought life.  Amen

"Remember the Name of the LORD our God."

Psalms 20: 7 KJV “To the Chief Musician, A Psalm of David.  Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:  but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”

As I sit thinking and meditating on the above verse I noticed a word “trust” and I thought about it for a moment.  We trust in our brand new vehicles and we trust the bank with our money, we trust other people to look after our children.  So it is obvious that “trust” is really important.

The one question I would like to pose is this, do you trust in the LORD our God?  Do you believe that God is able to do anything you ask of Him?

I actually have been trained from childhood never to trust anybody.  It was something my Dad used to tell all of us children.  “Do not trust people.”  Today, I actually struggle in trusting people straight out.  I seem to view people with a little skepticism and suspicion.  It isn’t my intention but it takes me a while to really trust someone.

Which brings me back to God.  Do you believe that God wants us to fully trust in Him?  Well, it is clear when King David wrote Psalms that He fully trusted in God.  He didn’t worry about his chariots or his horses, he trusted in God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, LORD my God, I still struggle with trusting people, I do submit my hearts desires and problems to You in humble prayer.  The problem I have is leaving them with You.  Today, I fully trust in You and believe that You are able to solve each and every trial and tribulation that I face.  In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Wisdom in Trusting God

Proverbs 3: 5-6 NIV “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

My journey has been really interesting and there are days when I find it really difficult to trust in God.  On those days I go and make all kinds of plans and I think and worry about the matter at hand and at the end of that day I am tired, frustrated and I feel sick to my stomach.  Are you able to relate?

It sounds so easy when you read these words “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”  Many times I take my problems to the LORD and I leave them with the LORD and after some serious thinking and worrying I go back to the LORD and take the problems back.

This has been something I did for a number of years and lately, I have realized it has to change, I have to trust in the LORD.  After all, God is the creator and knows the plans for my life and no matter how I try and influence Him to change it to suit me if that isn’t His will for my life, it stays just as it is.

I constantly pray about my life and what I plan on doing and I am constantly seeking God’s wisdom and guidance, I believe God has made the paths straight on my behalf.

Prayer

LORD help me to not trust my own understanding but to trust Your understanding and plan for my own life.  Please, LORD, guide me and help me on my way and teach me to stay focused and not fall on the way.  I dedicate my life into YOUR Hands asking for a straight path and blessings as You see fit.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Are you #suffering?

1 Peter 4: 19 DARBY “Wherefore also let them who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing to a faithful Creator.”

Before I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I heard people tell me stories of wealth and an easy life.  Then the reality of the situation came, suffering is a process that each and every Christian needs to go through.  It’s like the purifying of gold, in order to get to the gold it goes through fire.

In the many years that I have been following and serving the Lord Jesus Christ, it has been some ride.  The times when I felt I just couldn’t make it, those were the times that the Lord carried me through.  Do not be mislead! We actually all have some kind of suffering, even the non-Christians and atheist endure suffering in their lives.

One thing I truly am grateful about is that I don’t have to suffer the same way the Lord Jesus Christ suffered when He died on the cross for our sins.  I doubt I would have been able to endure so much.

Looking at our passage we see that Peter reminds us that “who suffer according to God’s will are to commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”  Doing good is expected of each one of us.  Let’s take up our cross and bear the suffering and keep up the good work.

Prayer

Abba Father, please help us stay strong during the times we suffer according to Your will, guide us and teach us.  Please help us to do good as You will it for our lives.  In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
