Faith at work

Just enjoy being around people that have a great sense of humour, there friendly disposition is so catchy.  I seem that these people don’t suffer with any negative thoughts and life seems to be a breeze to them.  Being a pessimist myself it really take a lot of effort to lift my spirit some days.

But in faith I adjust my attitude daily, by faith I stay focused on the Lord God and I believe the joy of the Lord will fill me up as the day progresses.  I believe that my faith in God is my pillar of strength and this takes me to higher and better places.  ‘Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.’

Waking up every morning, the first thing that springs to my mind is ‘Good morning Father God, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit.’  Then I lie for a moment and consider what time it is.  To my mind I believe I awaken each morning around 4h45.  I really should take the time to check it out and confirm it.  At approximately 5h00 in the morning the birds start to chitter.  When my husband is studying in the mornings he would come and awaken me around 4h30 otherwise I wake up around 4h45.

Taking a shower every morning refreshes me and I am revitalised and ready to take on each day but the days when we don’t have water and electricity.  Man that blows my mind, I feel dirty and I feel that I am horrible.  Looking at myself in the mirror I also think my spirit is rejected and not feeling great either.
Hey stop being so glum and gloomy!  Smile and try and lighten up today, look at things differently.  Don’t take everything seriously and if someone really irritates you ignore them.  Smile back at them so that they aren’t even aware that you are irritated by them.  If they speak to you smile and just agree and if it is a question asked be polite and answer them.

You not only confuse them but you definitely are confusing the devil.

Ephesians 6: 12 ‘For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.’ Just remember we don’t see the spiritual world around us and we cannot imagine what is taking place.  We just see our physical world and many times people seem to be going out of their way to trip us up.  Take a moment and imagine while this person is doing their utmost to upset us the devil is standing behind them screaming in their ears.  ‘Slap him, Slap her, they hate you, you are a disaster.’  The person receiving these negative words aren’t dressed for the battle.  They didn’t get up this morning and said Good morning to the Lord, they didn’t spend time in God’s presence and ask for protection of evil and they didn’t trust in the Lord for the day ahead of them.

Do yourself a favour and tomorrow morning before you leave the house, pray and ask the Lord God to guide you also put on the armour of God to help you face the day.

You can change the world around you by staying positive and being kind and helping others get on the right track.  You don’t always have to hit back and fight all the time.

Do it! Today!

Being alone with one self can be unnerving at times.  Think about it, you have all this time and the one thing that happens when you spend time with yourself you actually start to think about things.  I was thinking of people who had passed away and I believe they are all in heaven.  The fact is thoughts of dying aren’t something that just comes up with me I am sure it will pop in to your mind every now and then.  I believe the older one gets the more you start to wonder about it.

Here’s the thing, we all have a past and according to Paul in Romans 3: 23 he tells us “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  Do you know what the price is for sin?  Paul says in Romans 6: 23 ‘For the wages of sin is death.”   Working for your wages each month to buy whatever you need.  Now we see that we have a price to pay for our own sin, death.  Is there a solution to this?  Yes absolutely, we have a key to this door.  Jesus Christ, Paul writes in Romans 5: 8 “But God demonstrated His own love for us in this while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  We now have this key to open the door to heaven.  Only we still need something to activate it, but what is it?  Paul has a solution to this problem, he writes in Romans 10: 9 “if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Pray this prayer today, don’t delay!

Yeshua HaMashiach
Dear Father God, In the name of Your Son Jesus Christ I confess that (Romans 3: 230 I have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  I also agree and confess that Lord the wages of sin is death (Romans 6: 23).  Lord as a result I declare and believe that God demonstrated His own love for me in this while I was a sinner, Christ died for me (Romans 5:8). Now Lord this is my confession that with my mouth I confess, Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I am saved (Romans 10: 9).  Amen

Is your day filled with Lemons today?

Considering my life and the way I feel, I think today is filled with Lemons, but hey look at God’s word. Isaiah 55: 10 – 11 ‘For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.’  From my point of view, I believe that God started a good job within me and here He states that His word won’t return void onto Him.  So I will reach my destiny and I will be a success.

I am working really hard at changing my point of view on life in general, watching what I say, when I say it.  I am working hard on my attitude.  The difficult part is really dealing with people.  People are fickle and I must be honest they disappoint you so often.  So it makes life very interesting all the time.

As far as I am concerned, I will confess with my mouth that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  I will confess that I am blessed and I have abundance in my finances, in my personal life and in my work life.  Perseverance masters success, I will prevail.  I have the supernatural favour of God.  I can do all things through Christ Jesus.  I am healthy, good looking, favoured by all through the Lord Jesus Christ.  My children, grandchildren, family and friends are blessed.  We have abundance to live full fulfilled lives.  Blessing of health, finances and supernatural God favour follows me wherever I go.

Journey to Success

Nehemiah 2: 20 ‘I answered them, and said, ‘The God of heaven will give us success.’’

I believe God will help me be successful.  Father God in the name of Jesus Christ I pray for success in my own life’s journey.  I believe Father God that You have made me successful and I accept it today in my own life.  I am expecting that You Father God in Jesus Christ’s name will cause me to be successful.  As I go through my life’s journey I know that You Father God are there all the way.

Ecclesiastes 4: 9 – 10 ‘Two are better than one … if either of them falls down, one can help the other up …’ Andus is always there to support me and help me, we are a winning team.  Our success is our unity, we love each other and he is constantly at my side.  With Andus in my life we can face whatever comes our way, he is constantly the same always faithful and hopeful.  Our success is being there for each other; hold each other up and caring for each other and the rest of our family.

We both seek to become successful and we aim to do the best in our lives all the time.

Not forgetting our anchor in life is serving the Lord Jesus Christ, the pillar of our relationship, the pillar of our home and the pillar of everything we do and achieve.  We cannot make it on our own because we know without a doubt God is in control.

Lord Jesus Christ, I want to bring You all the honour and glory, the worship of my life, my dull and dearie live, I want to praise You Lord with everything I say and do.  You Lord are my salvation and I love You Lord for all I am is because of You.

‘…; practice playing second fiddle.’ Romans 12: 10

In today’s life ‘playing second fiddle’ is just unheard of and most people will pull their nose up.  Thinking about people in general we don’t like ‘playing second fiddle’ and it always has to be about us and what we need, what we want and where we are going.  No wonder most of us are in general angry and upset because we feel we have to take a back seat.

Then why would we want to follow Paul’s instruction in Romans of ‘practicing playing second fiddle’.  When going shopping I will return to the shop where the people are nice and friendly, where I feel comfortable and where people make me feel special.  I definitely won’t go to a shop where the people are rude and obnoxious.

Well for today let’s practice playing second fiddle and let’s be nice to the people around us.  Smile at the people you work with, ask them how are you.  Take five minutes in spending some time in their presence and finding out how they really are.  Stop making everything about yourself; take the time in making friends.  Being nice will help you gain ground.

Drop the attitude that you are just the ‘secretary, call centre agent, systems analyst or receptionist’ just being friendly and helpful puts your company in the number 1 spot.  Being the nicest person in your office makes you stand out and people will be drawn to you because of your friendly disposition.

Do you want to make a difference in your home, company, business or church?  Then start by ‘playing second fiddle’, being nice to the people around you.  Dropping your miserable attitude and accepting the challenges you face head on.  Stay focused and be kind to your peers and your colleagues and not forgetting the little people in your life, especially the little people.

We tend to say it’s not my job, and I didn’t through this piece of paper on the floor I won’t pick it up.  If you see it laying on the floor pick it up, it won’t kill you.  My mom taught us that if you see something laying on the floor pick it up, that is the right thing to do.  You saw it and you know you should pick it up so just pick it up.  No one sees it but remember one day someone will notice that you are doing your bit.

Not forgetting that the Lord promotes and you will be promoted at the right time, by doing your bit.  So let’s be nice or even very nice to all the people around and in our lives.  Let’s think of them for a change and act responsibly toward our husbands, children, friends and colleagues.   ‘Start transforming yourself into the nice person, playing second fiddle.’  You will reap the fruits.
