Kids that can’t be helped

Image
Jeremiah 32: 33 “They would not listen or respond.”
The pain of watching these kids withdraw and hid in the house is like poison killing me. I must tell you I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. I thought all kids love to go out with their friends and have a good time. It’s not true, these kids sit in the house day in and day out. Watching TV and playing Xbox games.
I told my husband of a dream I had, we were driving on the Highway and all of a sudden we came across an accident. My eye caught a blue engine laying in the road and drove past it, then I looked up to the left of me I saw two people lying on the side of the road. The woman's face was cut in have and lay next to the road while the rest of her head and the top part of her body lay a little way from her. Her husbands head was decapitated and his head lay next to the road. His body lay in the distance with blood spurting out of his body.
I woke up feeling dreadful and started praying for my family and friends…

Galatians 6: 2 (DARBY)
“Bear one another burdens, and thus fulfil the law of the Christ.”
I work at a Power Station in Mpumalanga and we travel in a taxi from the town to the Power Station.
Our morning route is the same first me and then the next person and so on. This morning I heard something that made me take a second look at this very beautiful young woman. She said, “I was so very sad last night that I drank a couple of glasses of wine.” Wow, I was surprised, she is beautiful and it looks like her life is just perfect.
People have the ability to hide their hurt behind a smile or be angry and we wouldn’t know their personal pain. My husband and I have been arguing about something and we have not resolved the matter but you would never know I am upset. Unless of course you know me and look at my eyes, then you will pick up I am upset. My eyes turn a light green when I feel hurt and upset. I cannot hide my eyes but I know they actually reveal my emotional state of mind.
Life isn’t easy a…

Scripture for Tuesday

Image
Revelation 5:12(NLT)12 And they sang in a mighty chorus: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered— to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.”

Lord, I cry out to You today!

Image
John 16: 33 ESV “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
This morning I needed to cry out to God, I needed to bring my fears, my problems and my anxiety to Him. I know when King David was facing difficult times, he would call out to God. Psalm 18 verse 6 he cries out "In my distress, I cried out to the Lord." I feel abandoned and all alone.
I will pray, about my circumstances, and I trust in the Lord. God is my refuge, and I can run to Him every day. Proverbs tells me that "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."
The Lord Jesus tells us that we will go through trials and tribulations. It's all part of our journey. Paul speaks of disciplining his body, taking charge of it lest he falls. 1 Corinthians 9: 27 ESV: "But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be di…

Scripture for Monday

Remember people who have faith don't make sense, it's all about trusting in God, allowing Him to move into your heart.Joshua 6:15-20New Living Translation (NLT)15 On the seventh day, the Israelites got up at dawn and marched around the town as they had done before. But this time they went around the town seven times.16 The seventh time around, as the priests sounded the long blast on their horns, Joshua commanded the people, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the town!17 Jericho and everything in it must be completely destroyed[a] as an offering to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and the others in her house will be spared, for she protected our spies.
18 “Do not take any of the things set apart for destruction, or you yourselves will be completely destroyed, and you will bring trouble on the camp of Israel.19 Everything made from silver, gold, bronze, or iron is sacred to the Lord and must be brought into his treasury.”

20 When the people heard the sound of the rams’ horns,…

Scripture for Sunday - The of Jericho

Image
Joshua 6:2-5The Voice (VOICE)Eternal One(to Joshua):2 I have given Jericho, its king, and all its soldiers into your hands. 3 Every day for the next six days, you will march once around the city walls with all your fighting force. 4 Seven priests will go in front of the covenant chest, each carrying a trumpet made from a ram’s horn. On the seventh day, you will march around the city walls seven times, and the priests will blow their trumpets. 5 When they play along final blast, then all the people will give a mighty shout. The city walls will collapse in front of you, and all the Israelites will charge in and take the city.

Scripture for Saturday - The Coming of the Holy Spirit

Image
Acts 2: 2 - 4 ESV "And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Acts 1: 8 ESV

"Jesus take, the Wheel - Carrie Underwood"

Image
Matthew 16: 24 – 25
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
I know it sounds so simple when we listen to Carrie Underwood singing her song Jesus take the Wheel. I actually have thought about it, I have given my life to the Lord Jesus, the question is have I truly surrender my life into the Lord's hands. Are there areas in my life that I am still the boss over and let Jesus just see from a distance?
We all have control over our lives and I know its sounds easy stating Jesus take the Wheel. I have decided today to truly surrender my life into the hands of Jesus Christ, my life, my finances, my relationships, my job, my friends, my family. I am not in control and that is so true, I think I might be but actually, that’s not true.

Scripture for Wednesday

Image
1 Corinthians 10: 12 ESV
"Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he falls."

Beware of “I will never do that.”

Image
Romans 3: 23 ESV
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
The problem I find with this statement “I will never do that” is that is exactly what I will do because I feel I am better than that person. I am setting myself up for a fall and the devil is waiting for the moment I let my guard down. I am standing in judgement over the person who is having an “affair, stealing money, lies to parents and family or your boss.” Now I am on the devil's number one list and I have opened a door that exposes my sinful nature. I didn’t pause to think of protecting myself, putting the full armour of God on or dealing with the sins I am facing right this moment.
The Voice – Romans 3: 23 puts it like this “you see, all have sinned, and all their futile attempts to reach God in His glory fail.” Something I have learned through experience the minute I feel that I am standing strong and nothing like this or that will happen to me, o dear guess what I fall flat on my face. I was under the…
