In the Twinkling of an Eye: The Promise of Instant Transformation

Reflecting on 1 Corinthians 15:52 "In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." 1 Corinthians 15:52 The Speed of Grace Have you ever tried to catch the exact moment your eye blinks? It's impossible. That's the timeframe Paul uses to describe one of the most magnificent promises in Scripture: our complete transformation when Christ returns. Not a gradual improvement. Not a slow process of sanctification. But instantaneous, total, irreversible change. This morning as I read through 1 Corinthians 15, this verse stopped me in my tracks. In a world where everything worthwhile seems to take time, building character, healing wounds, growing in faith God promises a transformation that happens faster than we can perceive. What Changes in That Moment? Paul has spent the entire chapter building toward this climax. He's explained that Jesus Christ, the second Adam, rev...

December 10th, 2024 I love your LORD

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word that reveals the depth of Your wisdom and love. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 2:16, “For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” Lord, I humbly desire to live in alignment with Your Spirit, to hold Your thoughts, feelings, and purposes in my heart. Lord, I confess that my own thoughts and abilities are limited and often fall short of Your will. My heart yearns to walk in harmony with You, to be one spirit with You as Your Word promises in 1 Corinthians 6:17. You have joined Yourself to me so that You can speak heart to heart with me. I long to hear Your voice clearly and to follow Your ways. Father God, I desire that Your thoughts become my actions, and that I live so closely with You that I never lack the power to overcome the evil of this world. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, so that I may feel Your heart of compassion for those who are hurting or burdened by sickness and pain. Use me,...

Affirmation in the Almighty God

In the sacred verses of Exodus 35:35, I find affirmation that the Almighty has endowed me with creativity, a divine gift meant to be celebrated and utilized. It is a profound calling, one I believe I am meant to fulfill through various channels. God has whispered His purpose into my soul, guiding me to serve Him through my passion for baking, crafting intricate cake toppers, chronicling my thoughts in a blog, and expressing my love through embroidery. As I immerse myself in these creative endeavors, I am reminded of my earnest desire to remain in His divine presence. Proverbs 23:7 cautions me about the power of my thoughts, urging me to align them with the purity of His teachings. I long to shed the cloak of negativity that has draped my mornings and conversations. Thus, I declare my willingness to be taught, to open myself to the transformative touch of the Holy Spirit, and to renew my mind with the Word of God. Though I have fashioned charming fondant animals and crafted exquisite ...
