Joke of the day .... sent to me by one of my friends tee hee so funny
The Pastor's Ass
The Pastor entered his donkey in a race and
it won.
The Pastor was so pleased with the donkey
that he entered it in the
race
again and it won again.
The local paper read:
PASTOR'S
ASS OUT FRONT.
The Bishop was so upset with this kind of
publicity that he ordered
the
Pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.
The next day the local paper headline
read:
BISHOP
SCRATCHES
PASTOR'S
ASS.
This was too much for the Bishop so he
ordered the Pastor to get
rid
of the donkey.
The Pastor decided to give it to a Nun in a
nearby convent.
The local paper, hearing of the news, posted
the following headline
the
next day:
NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.
The Bishop fainted.
He informed the Nun that she would have to
get rid of the donkey so
she
sold it to a farmer for $10.
The next day the paper read:
NUN
SELLS ASS FOR $10.
This was too much for the Bishop so he
ordered the Nun to buy back
the
donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run
wild.
The next day the headlines read:
NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.
The Bishop was buried the next day.
The moral of the story is . . . being
concerned about public opinion
can
bring you much grief and misery . . even shorten your
life.
So be yourself and enjoy life.
Stop worrying about everyone else's ass and
you'll be a lot happier
and
live longer!
Have a nice’day!

You are: Unique
Psalm 139 Amplified Bible (AMP)
13 For You did form my
inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Have you watched a pregnant woman, she can
sit in company and suddenly become really quiet. Watch her as she puts her hands on her tummy,
she is feeling her unborn child move around.
A sudden kick here and there, mommy doesn’t know what her child will
look like. God knows, He is watching as
the unborn child is being knit together in the mother womb.
I am grateful to God for being Unique, I am
a one of a kind, really special and all praises to my Lord and Saviour for
making me who I am.
You are: Beautiful!
Psalm 45: 11 So will the King desire your beauty; because He is your Lord, be submissive and reverence and honor Him.
Standing on God’s word for today, I want to encourage you and me in
knowing that God has told us we are beautiful.
Submitting myself to the Lord in humbleness and believing in His great
love, I accept this word for today.

Attitudes
One’s attitude is probably the most important thing that we
as human beings have to deal with. Just
walking into a shop or any venue you can pick up on the people’s
attitudes. As you start talking to
people you will find that they either have a good and happy attitude or a
really heartbroken, self-pity attitude.
Most people struggle with the negative side of their
attitudes and it takes hard work to being one’s attitude under control. I for one struggle with fault-find,
grumbling, complaining, nagging and stuff like that. I have to check myself for not going down
that road. Once the door is open I just
bulldozer forward and become a real wrecking ball.
Thinking about my problem I believe the only way forward for
me is to realise who I am in Jesus Christ.
I should start making a point of not finding fault with everything that
irritates me. I should pay attention to
what I say and do. I feel that I should
start mediating more on the Word of God and take my focus off what is taking
place around me.
I have so much baggage that needs to be cut off and thrown away,
that I wander when I will do this and start stretching myself forward and grabbing
onto the Lord Jesus.
As I face tomorrow I want to remind you and me that ‘I can
do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’
Father God humbly I pray for a new lease on life, give me
the discipline to work hard and get to where You want me to be. Lord as I face my problems with my own
attitude I pray for a guard over my mouth, sealing my ears to gossip and
breaking the bad attitudes that I carry around within me. Help me Lord to lighten up and to start
enjoying life and making the best of every situation I find myself in. Lord thank You for hearing my prayers and
thank Your for being there for me.
Amen

We can justify our every deed
Proverbs 21:1-2
Living
Bible (TLB)
21 Just
as water is turned into irrigation ditches, so the Lord directs the king’s
thoughts. He turns them wherever he wants to.
2 We can justify our every deed,
but God looks at our motives.
As I read
these verses it strikes me that yes things happen and we make decision and go
according to what we feel and believe.
Not knowing what the future holds for us but hoping and believing we are
on the right track. Boom you hit a stone
wall, not able to move forward or backwards.
Now where are you? Get back onto your
knees and start praying, nothing you do can change your situation. God will direct your steps and God will work
behind the scene to see that even the king’s thoughts are turned.
I always think
I can justify my every deed but I never forget that God looks at my
motives. So take heart, when things look
bleak and grim know that God is in control.
Bless you.
