Mpumalanga - Witbank to Carolina (150 km apart)

Good morning! Today 30 March 2015 I am going on a road trip with my husband.  He is taking me along to enjoy the country with him.  He needs to go to Carolina which is 150 kilometers away from Witbank in Mpumalanga, South Africa.  Now believe it or not I have never been in Carolina so this is going to be an experience for me.

I made us some peanut butter and jam sandwiches and some coffee.  Its 08h00 am and we are just leaving the house.  My daughter is on the phone to me, I miss her.  We were chatting and then said good-bye.

The drive to Carolina is lovely, the sun is shining and it is nice and warm.  It’s is about a 2 hours’ drive and the country is lovely.  Wherever you look the fields are filled with Maze and if not maze there are beautiful Kosmos flowers along the roads.

While we were on our way we drove past a Donkey cart, the driver of this cart was laying sleeping under his cart while his two Donkeys were waiting for him to wake up.  It was a sight not to be forgotten.  I tried to get the attention of the two Donkeys but no way.  They didn’t move or turn a head. 

We finally got to Carolina and phoned the lady to direct us to their place, another 15 kilometers before we arrive at the farm (Chicken farm).  It is 21 degrees and really warming up now.  It is 10h23 as we drive into the property.  This was a lovely road trip, my husband leave me in the car under the shade parking and goes to attend his business in the farm house.

12h57 my husband returns and we leave the farm house back to the town Carolina.  In the main road Voortrekker Street, we see a beautiful Antiques Coffee Shop with a Red double decker bus standing in the front garden.  We stop to investigate.  So many tea pots and antiques to be seen, we finally order a cup of coffee and I am enjoying a lovely strawberry cheese cake.  Hmm it was lovely, we are on our way home.

The Last Stand at Lighthouse Point revolves around
influential people living in the Wild Duck County.  Ted Hollingsworth an influential Businessman
allows his son Andrew Hollingsworth to spend a night at the “Magnum Point
Lighthouse”. 

Unfortunately a brutal murder takes place at the “Magnum
Point Lighthouse” and reporter Miss Tiffany Summersby a 2^nd runner
up to the Miss Wild Duck Pageant goes to the Lighthouse to see what happened.

As the plot thickens the reporter Frank Dentons uncovers a
story on the Atlantic Coast Bank which costs the Bank a load of money.  Newt Balderson the President of the bank has
his knife in for Frank.  Ted
Hollingsworth is all bitter and twisted at Miss Summersby as she gave a bad
report on his deceased son Andrew. 

The murder at the lighthouse draws a number of people to it
and a little girl Tracy Sunderlin goes to check out the place.  Tracy escapes with her life as she leaves the
lighthouse and her parents bring her to Tiffany.  Tiffany brings both Frank the reporter and
Drake the Editor into the story.

This page turner doesn’t allow one to put the book down in
fear of missing out on something.  It is definitely
a must read.  

Sweet Words

Psalm 119:103 Amplified Bible (AMP)

¹⁰³ How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

I wonder why people cannot speak sweet and beautiful words.  Men who date their girlfriends use the most charming and a beautiful word, to make sure the lady is crazy over them.  I believe that we should practice speaking beautifully to each other.  Why do we find it so easy to say foul words and swear without blushing? 

I think it is because it is against our nature to speak sweet words that is uplifting and encouraging.  We unintentionally don’t want to see the sun shine on others.  We are selfish and self-centred that is why we don’t speak words of encouragement, speaking compliments and being kind.

My challenge today to you is, why don’t you start speaking sweet words, something that melts in your mouth.  See how life will change and people will become calmer and sweeter.

My words going forward is to speak sweet words, I want to become Holy, I want to be a pleasing person in the Lords eyes.

The test is when I get angry and frustrated not to speak ill words and foul words.  Lord please place a guard before my mouth and mind.  I dedicate my words into Your hands and pray for sweet words that is pleasing on the ear. 

Thank you for speaking sweet words today, thank you for reading my thoughts and thank you for being a blessing to me, you are a blessing in my life.

A thought for today ... God is Good ... All the time

I am so excited, today I received a letter on email telling me I won, I wrote a note to one of the magazines - Vrouekeur - and they responded telling me I won.

Awesome, I have never won anything in such a long, long time I wanted to share this with you.  God is great, He is good, all the time.

Don't give up, trust in the Lord.

Many people I know are blessed with an abundant life, the best is they don’t always know it.  I watch people around me and I feel happy for them.  I am not being jealous or crying about the lack I have right now. 

God is working on my behalf and not too far in the future I will also have the abundance everybody else is enjoying.

So this is my confession, Lord I declare and believe that I am enjoying my life and that I have an abundance, (to the full, till it overflows) enough to give to the poor and needy.  In the Holy name of Jesus Christ.  Amen

Teach me Your paths Lord

According to Psalm 25 I want to ask as David asked.  Humbly Lord I come to You, O LORD, I lift u my soul, O my God, in You I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me.  Indeed, none who wait for You shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. 

O LORD, make me to know YOUR ways, O LORD; teach me YOUR paths.  Lead me in YOUR truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for YOU I wait all day long. 

Please LORD, remember Your mercy, O LORD and Your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.  Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of Your goodness, O LORD!

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He instructs sinners in the way.  He leads the humble in what is right and teaches the humble his way.  All the paths of the LORD are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and His testimonies.

For Your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my guilt, for it is great.  Who is the man who fears the LORD?  Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.  His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land.  The friendship of the LORD is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.

My eyes are ever towards the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.  Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.  The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses.  Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins.  Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me.

Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.  May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for YOU.

Redeem Israel, O GOD, out of all his troubles.

Prayer

Abba Father You know who my enemies are, LORD You know who speaks ill of me and who has their knifes in for me.  LORD as I sit here in humble prayer I pray LORD that YOU will protect me from them, the words of maliciousness that are spoken against me.  LORD will You shut them up and keep them off of me.  I pray and ask that YOU will bless me and keep me safe in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus.  Amen
