House Wife - reading somehting on sin eater

I never used to think it hard work being a ‘house wife’.  Really what exactly does one do?  Its cleaning and washing and ironing and of course some cooking.  Taking the kids to school and collecting them after school.  How much work can this possible be?  To my surprise I am working much hard now than I worked in an office.  I do make time for my Bible reading and prayers.  I also see if I can watch a movie sometimes but most of the time I am running off my feet.
Today I tried to read my book on the Last sin eater.  This is something that has me thinking, the people in Wales had a beggar come to the house of the person that had passed away and gave him a piece of bread and something to drink.  This would absolve the dead person’s sins and give them right of way into heaven.  The poor beggar got a piece of bread and something to drink at a high price.  I believe however that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that we can come to Him and know that we have eternal life through Jesus.
Makes you think doesn’t it.

Clean House

Do you also enjoy a clean house?  I love staying in an organised clean house, I know where everything is and I like to find it in its place.  Something the children are learning these days.  If you don’t put it back in its place you will not find it again.
These two are really very relaxed and when it comes to cleaning up they just don’t make it.  I am very strict and I want the house to say clean and tidy.
So as for me I want a clean house and I insist on it.  I don’t like clutter and I make a sure the kids know that.  Will they every learn I wonder.  Actually I do believe they will, I think of my own 3 and I know that they are doing very well and they too have clean houses.
Thank you Lord for the wisdom and understanding and the fact that You too enjoy a clean house.  Lord please bless my hands as I work today and help me do the best that I can to ensure that we live in a clean house.  Knowing that You love a clean house and will bless me makes it all worth the trouble.

Mothers Day ... Sunday

Mommy in early 1963

Mommy just after Gizel her great grandchild 2009

This tribute is to my mom, a beautiful lady of the young age of 66.  Mom you are a blessing to each one of your children, near and far.  You have always looked out for us and have been through very difficult times.  I know you have sat up many nights praying for each one of us.  I know you are strong and your faith has been strong in the Lord.  You are courageous and you take one new tasks each day.  You run your live with vigour, nothing is too difficult for you to do.  You love knitting and reading.  I know you spend a lot of time thinking of the past and sometimes I believe you wish you could turn back the hand of time and go and change things.  God knows your heart and desires and I know that He is looking out for you each day.  You worry about the children and grandchildren and also your great grandchild.  You think of the days gone by and wish for the future supernatural favour in each of your children’s lives.  You stand proud at the knowledge that your daughters and son are good parents; you know they have the best interest for their own children at heart.  You love us unconditionally and you have an ear to lend when times are hard.  We love and honour you for being the person you are, the lady of statue we really appreciate all you have done for us in the past and well as in the now.   We have no better mum in the whole wide world but you Mommy, Elizabeth Nester Alberts (Pat).  Never forget we love you and think the world of you.!!

Cupcakes

It is so much fun in baking something delicious for someone else; taking time in making a difference in someone's life is worth the time and the effort.  These are my first cupcakes I made for a little boy who turned 7 and he enjoyed eating them with his friends.

A sponge cake filled with delicious caramel and covered with sweet icing sugar it’s just mouth-watering.  Hmmm this was fun and I hope you are feeling up to a lovely cupcake.

Sabbatical

Without realising it I have taken a ‘time-out’ when I got married and moved towns.  There is no jobs in this place and should you find something it just isn’t worth your time.
To make matter even more interesting I decided to start my own business and I did everything possible to get going.  It has been one struggle after another and it just doesn’t want to go anywhere.  I have come to the conclusion that I am not able to do this in my own strength and that only the Lord God is able to help me.
I have decided to wait on the Lord now as my efforts aren’t paying off and I seem to be walking into a brick wall.
Now it seems I have taken a leave of absence of work and society.  I am alone most of the time with myself and my own thoughts which by the way can be very scary.  If you don’t like yourself it could be very difficult.  Ah, but I don’t mind being alone, I like the peace and quiet and I read the word of God.  I believe when the time is right and God will promote me and bring me to centre stage.
My needs are met every day, the Lord is providing.
I await the Lord for guidance, wisdom and insight as I go into this day.  I relax as much as I can and do the things I never seem to have had time for.  I pray a lot and I am working on my book, I hope to get it done and publish it as soon as possible.
