I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Scripture for Sunday

Overcoming failure

Psalm 73:26 Amplified Bible (AMP)

My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the rock and strength of my heart and my portion forever.

I live in Witbank, a town in Mpumalanga, it's not very impressive there are so many potholes on the road you can hardly see the road from the sand road.

I believe my life also has a couple of potholes, it seems like I am doing fine and then I hit a ditch. My whole life comes to a halt. I failed at something important and now I have to deal with the consequences. You know that feeling, when is this going to stop? I have come to realize I should change my attitude and things will get better. Instead of saying "when is this going to stop?" I should be saying this is a "learning experience" I need to take something away from this.

This morning I came to work in my car and the poor thing is really old and didn't want to go up the hill. I was frustrated but then I realized that I should learn to be patient and just let the car drive. It cannot go faster and I cannot do anything about it. I could have been angry by the time I reached my office but I am feeling a little irritated but not so bad. I realized this is one way to teach me to be patient.

I want to defeat this problem but I cannot do anything about it. God knows my heart and sees me for who I am. I need to stay focused on Him and not the problem. It will change in time. I am more than a conquer.

Lord in all humility I pray help me today, guide me and give me the necessary wisdom and insight, help me stand firm and please bear with me. I want to be more than a conquer through You Lord. Amen

Scripture for Saturday - A contrite Sinner's Prayer for Pardon

Humbly Lord please hear my prayer the same as Kind David prayed, please help me Lord.

Psalm 51:1-9 (AMP)

A Contrite Sinner’s Prayer for Pardon.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bathsheba.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;
According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from my wickedness and guilt
And cleanse me from my sin.

For I am conscious of my transgressions and I acknowledge them;
My sin is always before me.

Against You, You only, have I sinned
And done that which is evil in Your sight,
So that You are justified when You speak [Your sentence]
And faultless in Your judgment.

I was brought forth in [a state of] wickedness;
In sin my mother conceived me [and from my beginning I, too, was sinful].

Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,
And in the hidden part [of my heart] You will make me know wisdom.

Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Make me hear joy and gladness and be satisfied;
Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.

Hide Your face from my sins
And blot out all my iniquities.

"pattern

Exodus 25:9'You must build this (Tabernacle) exactly according to the pattern I will show you.'

As I meditate on today's word I realise that I am supposed to be living according to a set pattern that God has in mind for me. It is my job to find out how I should follow the pattern according to His word.

I believe that I am living in God's permissive will right now, He know my heart and understandings me. I do however want to live in God's perfect will for my life. I am grateful for each and every day God has aforded me.When thinking of the Tabernacle I know the Israelites had to build it according to the exact specifications. I so want to live my life to the exact specifications for my own life.

I know I am the person who influences my life and the people around me. When I am in a bad mood it affects every body around me.

Prayer

Humbly Lord I come before You and I want to pray asking the You help me understand that Your plans Lord for my life is always the best thing. Lord humbly I pray help me do the things You want me to do and not what I want to do. Lord I believe and know that when I follow You all my dreams come true. I know Lord that the things I have done in the past are resting fully on my shoulders, I do take responsibility but I want to pray and ask please help me, I need Your help. Amen
