Prayers to God, not to idols

1 Corinthians 8: 4 "Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that "an idol has no real existence," and that "there is no God but one."

Drawing closer to God is one of the highest priorities in my life today. Without God I am nothing.

Idols are stone or wooden objects and I know so many people idolize someone too. My thoughts around idols are they cannot help me in my hour of need, I need to have someone I can call on, that someone is God.

I want to remind you that God is real and can take you from strength to strength.

Praise God for being real and really loving you for who you are.

Prayer

Lord You have given us the opportunity to have the Word at our finger tips and as we meditate and read through Your word today.  Bless each one of us.  Lord I have taken the stand to trust in You with each and every aspect of my life, I have made so many mistakes and I don't know how to rectify them on my own.  I dedicate my life back into Your hands declaring that I do trust in You with the knowledge that You have a great plan in place for my life, I hand over the reins to my life into Your hands.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Amen

#prayer on thursdays

Philippians 1: 9-10

“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more,

 with knowledge and all discernment,

so that you may approve what is excellent,

and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,”

I am so grateful that the LORD is with me each and every day, I pray for a closer walk with Him and I am seeking Him each and every day.  I look for Him and seek His supernatural favor in my life so that my knowledge will increase and that I am able to discern and be able to approve what is excellent so that I am able to be pure and blameless for the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I wake up every morning and the first thing on my mind is the LORD, I say thank You for a new day and I pray for supernatural favor and understanding. I am grateful that the LORD is always with me helping me to face each day.

I believe we need to be constantly praying for our family and friends; we never know what evil is waiting for them.

Today be encouraged and pray for the people you deem important and in need of prayer.  Prayer for your work colleague is also important.  They need your prayers.

Life is not worth living if we cannot come into the presence of the LORD.  We need the supernatural favor of God in our lives.  We have a direct line to God and with that we are able to speak to Him and tell Him what is bothering us and when we truly need help.

Prayer

Abba Father, thank You for today and thank You that we are able to come into Your presence.  Lord we are praying for supernatural favor with You and with people today.  Lord we want to be blameless on the day the Lord Jesus Christ returns.  Amen

Dealing with stress in my life.

Philippians 4: 7 

And the peace of God,

Which surpasses all understanding,

Will guard your hearts and your minds

In

Christ Jesus.

It is true we all deal with stress in our lives each and every day.  In the past I felt that God was stretching me just too much, I used to refer to the stretching as being stretched out like an elastic band.  The pressure and tension in my life would accumulate and I felt tired and constantly on edge.

I think of my sister going through the stretching and tension in her own life, my heart goes out to her. She is under tremendous pressure right now.  I know it isn’t my place to tell her what to do but I think she needs to take a little break and start looking after herself.

I want to encourage her and you to embrace the peace of God in our lives.  We need to learn how to guard our hearts and minds and come into the covering of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I see God working in each of our lives.  We just need to submit to the Lord Jesus.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Abba Father, humbly I bring my life and the life of my sister into Your presence and I pray for a peace of mind.  Lord I cover myself as well as my sister with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Lord this covering I call out and ask that You will give us the necessary peace of mind.  Lord I call out asking for protection and covering of the blood of Jesus.  Holy Spirit action this for us we need You.  In the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen

Thank You Lord for all my blessings

Romans 15: 13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace

 as you trust in Him,

so that you may overflow

with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

I want to take this opportunity in saying Thank You Lord Jesus for all the blessing in my life. Thank You Lord for blessing me with a good and faithful husband.  Thank You Lord for the food on my table, and the washing in the washing basket.  Thank You for a warm bed to sleep in and the knowledge that You are watching over me.

Thank You for my children and grandchildren and thank You that You keep an eye over them too. Thank You for my friends and my family.  Thank You also for my mom and step dad.  Thank You for the time I have available to come and say thank You.

Thank You Lord for blessing me with shoes on my feet, a beautiful dress and a lovely jersey.  Thank You Lord for the beautiful jewellery and thank You Lord for the wonderful perfume I have received as gifts.  Thank You for Your Loving kindness towards me.  Thank You for the peace in my heart because I can come to You my hope overflow in You Lord.  I thank You for the Holy Spirit who lives inside of me.

Lord thank You for letting me see another day.  Thank You for every  waking morning and thank You for blessing me each and every day.  I see that You are changing things in my life, I believe You are in control and that You have a future for me to prosper me and not to harm me.

Abba Father, thank You for blessing me each and every day.  Thank You for hearing me this morning, in complete and utter humbleness I pray for guidance and I thank YOU Lord for the wisdom You give me. Thank You Lord for watching over me, thank You Lord for blessing me at work, in my job, at home with my family, and blessing my children’s families, and my mom’s family and brother and sisters families.  I love You Lord with the all my heart, soul and mind in the beautiful name of my savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Amen

Do you complain about frivolous things?

Hebrews 13: 3 ESV

“Remember those who are in prison,

as though in prison with them,

and those who are mistreated,

since you also are in the body.”

The other day I was on Facebook and someone shared a video clip of an elderly lady (84 years) being abused by her nurse.  I was infuriated and really angry to see this, but it struck me that the nurse was unaware that she was being filmed.  Just that gave me the satisfaction that she would come to book for her actions.

You know my heart is for the elderly and I feel so terribly sorry for them.  The thing is they have worked their whole lives and end up in a tiny one bedroom space.  Their families either put them there or they do not really have any family to take care of them.

You do not know what your future holds for you and you may end up living in a tiny little one bedroom space where a nurse comes and stands on your frail body or beats you because they can.  People we need to think about our elderly people and story worrying ourselves above frivolous things such as my new duvet cover, new curtains a new car or whatever you desire.

It struck me that I am aging and I cannot get away from my aging process.  Yes I purchase cosmetics to make me look younger but let us be honest we are growing old. Please think about your old mom or dad that you placed in an old age home, remember them they need you.

Prayer

Lord God, Abba Father, You know the old lady and old gentle man that are enduring constant bullying and abuse.  Please LORD I pray for them today, they are being mistreated and abused by their caretakers. LORD I pray that YOU will hear their cries and act on this. I pray for each elder person who is suffering at the hands of someone in a senior position. I pray LORD that Your Holy Spirit will touch their lives, bring them to repentance and may they serve You LORD.  I call out to YOU today in the Name of the LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.
