"May the best day of your past Be the worst day of your future." My Dad always wished me this Irish Blessing and I want it to matter today and every other day in my life.
Baruch Haba b'Shem Adonai. Blessed is He who humbles themselves before You today. We bring You praise, we worship You and thank You. Lord thank You for another year coming to a close. Thank You for answered prayer throughout the year. Thank You for blessings in abundance. Thank You for good opportunities for each person I prayed for by name.
My Master without Your hand of protection in my life, I am nothing. Thank You for the time I could spend in Your presence. Open my eyes and my ears, lift the veil from my face so that I may draw near to You. Give me the necessary wisdom, insight, and understanding. Lord, I ask You for the supernatural favor in my own life as well as supernatural favor into the lives of each person reading my prayer. Open doors of great opportunity, Lord give each of us wisdom to become more than what we think of ourselves.
Thank You for being there for us, thank You for answered prayer. In the Holy Name of Jesus. Amen
Another year is drawing to a close, our lives have been enriched with beautiful memories, some difficult times, a lot of blessed times and loads of laughter. This year was a good year, from the beginning to the end.
This is the first time in a very long time I feel excited about Christmas, I used to dread this time of year, it seemed to be a difficult time, loads of tears, and heartbreak.
It will be different this year, my children and I and our families are going to spend Christmas time together. There are peace and quiet and we all are feeling good about ourselves. The stress of difficulty is gone.
Relationship I remarried and there are stepchildren, then, of course, my own children and granddaughters. We are all getting on much better, live is a little more relaxed.
Responsibilities And of course, the biggest stress I face is a ‘job loss’. I am praying the Lord will bless me next year with a good paying job. I believe God can move mountains.
My Decisions My husband’s favorite antic the decisions you make today affect your tomorrow. You know these words haunt my life, and I really don’t even want to think about things like making any decisions. You can make a wrong choice and it can come and bite you.
Moving forward For my life I have decided to move forward, let the people who hate me, hate me. The people who talk ill about me, God will deal with them. The judgmental and gossiping people; the same, leave them to their gossip, God will deal with them. I think that each person who feels they have the right to discuss my life and tell people how they perceive me, may they get exactly what they say about me.
Luckily my family isn't in this category and I know they will never bad mouth me. The bitter and nasty words spoken against me is from so called friends, shame.
2017 I believe with all my heart, God is going to bless me with the sales of my book, I will publish my book and I will be able to leave a legacy for my children and grandchildren. God is my rock, I will not be moved. What an awesome prospect. I adore the Lord with all my heart. Amen
Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of his servant? Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.
Today if you fear and feel that your days are dark, trust in the Lord and rely on Him today. God Bless you.
The
Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that
sustains the weary. He wakens me morning
by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.
When you bow
down to God each morning, His word will sustain you, each and every morning, He
will teach you. You will be able to help
others. God bless you.
11 Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
Christ is all, it reminds me that the Lord Jesus in everything on earth as well as in Heaven. He was the man who died on the cross for our sins, and now He sits on a throne in heaven on the right hand of the Father. Christ is all!
We all know that our lives are not a ‘stage rehearsal’ and we cannot press pause and then fix the mess we made and then carry on making our movie. If Christ is all in your live then I believe that your ego was crushed to make way for the Holy Spirit? In allowing the Lord Jesus the throne of your heart and stepping down makes you a true Christian.
If you are reading my blog today and you know that you have not committed your life into the Lord Jesus’ hands, think about who is Lord in your life. Remember that the Lord Jesus is ‘always with you’.
Think of what it means to you, declaring and confessing that the Lord will teach you to pray, that you will find strength in your faith, that the Lord Jesus will assure you of His love and that you will have access to the Father, this will make you stronger.
Prayer
O Father God, Father of the lights, today I confess that the cornerstone in my life is the Lord Jesus, help me to keep my eyes focused on you, so that the ego within me will become nothing and the Lord Jesus more and more. Amen
God has given each one of us gifts; in James chapter 1 verse 16 it says ‘do not be deceived my beloved brethren, every good gift, and every perfect gift is from above.’
The gifts in this passage are from above, they are from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. As we continue reading we see that the Father of lights ‘chose to give us through the word of truth that we might be a kind of first fruit of all He created.’
How do we identify the gifts the Father of light is talking about? Would you say it is spiritual gifts or are they our natural gifts?
Spiritual:
If these gifts are spiritual then we are reminded of the gifts in Romans 12 verse 6 through 8. These are gifts of prophecy, service, teachers, encourages, giving with generosity, leads with diligence, someone with mercy and cheerfulness. And in the Book of Ephesians Chapter 4 verse 7 through 16. These gifts are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers.
Natural:
In the natural world do you believe God would place special and unique gifts and talents onto your life? Do you believe God has gifted you in such a way that it will fulfill the purpose He has for your life? My daughter always talks about ‘her movie’; meaning the people that are currently in her live whom will feature in her movie. These people I believe are gifts from God. What about the gift of living which reminds me of Romans Chapter 6 verse 23 which says ‘the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ and the gift of breath which is found in Job 27 verse 3For as long as life is in me, And the breath of God is in my nostrils,’
Let’s not lose sight of how awesome our God really is. To have gifted each one of us with the necessary gifts we have right now. I am sure there are many other gifts you can think about.
Gifts from above:
Remember that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. The Father of lights literally has given each one of us specific gifts. Who is the Father of lights? Well, it must be obvious, the Sun, the Moon and also the Stars. Everything in the Universe relates to the Father of Lights, God is omnipotent and omnipresent.
I believe we underestimate what God has placed on our lives, how He has set us up to fulfill the purpose He has called us to.
Healing
I am reminded of a passage in Mark Chapter 9 from verse 14 through to 26. It tells of Jesus dealing with the sick and an argument arises with the disciples and a sick child’s father. The child seems to be suffering from I think epileptic illness. Jesus is approached by the sick Child’s father. Jesus asks the man what do you want me to do? The child’s father responds ‘if you can, help us.Jesus responded ‘if I can?’ then continued ‘everything is possible for him who believes.’ The child’s father responded ‘I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief.’ The story ends where the child is healed. The Child’s father is also encouraged because he admitted he ‘had unbelief.’
Unbelieve
The problem with unbeliever in our lives is that it stands in the way of our gifts. We have been gifted with every perfect gift from the Father of lights. 1 Peter 4 verse 10 reminds us ‘use our gifts to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.’
Others
Ahh, we need to serve one another, the gifts are not always all about us. Perhaps you think that you actually did not receive any good gifts that you are able to share with others. No! You have received good gifts from God. You just have to identify them and develop them to the Glory of God. In fact, you should right here and now, pray about your gifts, praising God and bring Him glory.
Attractive
Something that I never realized is that ‘one’s gifts makes ¬ one attractive’. These gifts cause an attraction to you, it could go both ways, one is it is good and the other isn’t that good. Off the top of my head let’s think of someone really handsome, Absalom ¬ King David’s son. It seems that this man rocked his community. We see in 2 Samuel 14 verse 25 ‘from the top of Absalom’s head to the soles of his feet, he was so attractive’ the people loved Absalom, they simply adored him, to the extent that they followed him. This also was detrimental to him. This attractiveness caused his death.
Your Gifts
Now you say, I do not have any gifts; you have not identified them just yet. Do not make the mistake of saying that ‘you are useless’absolutely no. If you feel that you are worthless, stop yourself. You are so precious to God; He gifted you with every good and perfect gifts. Take this time and worship and praise God. Let this be a way forward, in identifying your own gifts.
You are valuable to the Lord God; your gifts do not determine your value.
Comparison
As a young believer, I used to believe that other Christians were gifted by God and I just didn’t make the grades. I felt inadequate and just not able to match up to my fellow Christians. I soon realized that it wasn’t true, God gifted me in a unique way, I am able to knit, crochet, paint draw, read to name but a couple of natural gifts. I had to come to a point in my life in not comparing myself to my fellow Christian. I was different, I am unique.
In closing, we are reminded in James Chapter 1 verse 18 ‘that God chose to give us birth through the word of truth that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created.’ Ah, a first fruit ¬ like tithing, wow. To my mind it means that I should live my life in abundance, God has to birth it through the word of truth.
Prayer
O Father God, we thank You for today’s message. Thank You, Lord, for being the cornerstone in our Christian lives. Without the Lord Jesus, we amount to nothing. O Father of lights, thank You that You chose us by birthing the word of truth that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all You have created. We praise Your name, Amen
Hello Guys and Dolls
Please give me some feedback on my first vlog. What can I do to improve on it? I know some of you are experts at this. So any feedback will be appreciated.

Ecclesiastes 7:12 (AMP) 12 For wisdom is a defense even as moneyis a defense, but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom shieldsandpreserves the life of him who has it.
Wisdom is a force we have in our armory; sometimes we can use it as we use money. We use money, to sustain ourselves. With wisdom, we know that we may use it as a shield and preserve our lives.
The lack of wisdom in our own lives can lead us into deep trouble. We may even think life treats us unfairly. With our entire shortcoming, we know that we need a Saviour in our lives, the Lord Jesus; someone who will bridge the gap on our behalf. James 1 verse 5 reminds us “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
Prayer Father God, thank You, for wisdom which You have given each of us as a defense
; in our lives. We pray that You will guide us; teach us to identify the necessary skills to utilize our wisdom as a shield and preserve our own life in You Lord. Amen
I am grateful that I am able to serve the Lord Jesus each and every day any which way I feel comfortable with. I am grateful that I may speak to people openly about the Lord Jesus and that I do not have to fear condemnation.
#2 My Family
Thank You, Lord for my family, I am grateful for a good husband and wonderful children (my own and his, not forgetting my granddaughters).
#3 My senses
Thank You, Lord for all my sense, I can see, I can smell, I can hear and taste. Awesome without them; my life would be miserable.
#4 My Friends
Thank You, Lord for all my friends, abroad and here in South Africa. I am so happy that I may connect with good friends and enjoy good laughs. Thank you, all my friends for reading my blog.
#5 My material belongings
Thank You, Lord for all that You have provided me with, I know I seem ungrateful many times but today I do want to say thank You.
God has blessed my life with great family and good friends. Bless each one today and may you all enjoy your thanksgiving with the Lord's mercy and favor.
Zephaniah 3: 17 "The Lord your God is in your midst. The Mighty One, who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
