In pursuit of my dream!

Joshua 1: 9 “Be strong and courageous.”

I have been busy with a number of projects and I am also working on my Dream. You don’t understand the pressure I put myself under to get everything done. I have been blessed with a job for a couple of months which I dearly appreciate.

I have the means to help my mom and bring my tithing to the Lord. This is important to me because I need to show that I am serious about my life and drawing near to God.

Sometimes I feel I just cannot make it but God has been good to me and has supported me in my difficult times.  I am waiting and trusting in God to move me forward.  And suddenly my life will improve and I will be able to help mom properly.

Prayer

Lord as I pray today, please Lord help me complete my tasks around my project, help me with wisdom and insight and show me how to improve my project.  Lord help me do the best I can always in Jesus Name.  Amen

It’s Monday – a new week

James 1: 4 “Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” Berean Study Bible

I walked into my office this morning switched on the air conditioner and then walked over to my desk and switched on my laptop.  Taking a seat behind the desk I waited for the laptops prompt to type in my password.  Yes, it’s Monday, the weekend flew by.

My colleagues walked through the door something happened yesterday.  Someone passed away; I heard them say “there is just no relaxing, we never have any peace.”

Life is so short and we don’t seem to realise it. You need to persevere and do the best you can each and every day.  Tomorrow isn’t promised remember that.

This weekend I visited my Mom and Oom Frik, it was so nice to see them.  They are aging and it’s clear they seem to be forgetting things.  I want to pray that God will give me the necessary means to help them going forward and when the time come be there for the both of them.

Prayer

O Lord God, You know that I have been doing my best and that my moto is to never give up.  Lord I bring Oom Frik and Mommy before You today, help them.  They are so far away from family and they need Your help.  Please Lord open a door for them to come closer to home where we can keep a watchful eye over them. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth Amen.

Show Compassion towards your parents please.

May God bless you for showing compassion towards your parents. God is watching each on of us and sees our hearts.

It was so wonderful to see Mommy and Oom Frik.  We really enjoyed the visit and it was so clear that Mommy and Oom Frik went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

I had to laught Mommy couldnt even unlock the door because she wanted us to say a little longer. Ag, Mommy we will come and visit you again.

Lord please bless Mommy and Oom Frik today and the rest of this year, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

#Friday

Hello World, Yvette's Inspirations

Yippy, it's Friday ... I want to wish you a wonderful day today and a special weekend. Full of laughter, smiles and happy moments. See you at church on Sunday and back at work on Monday.  Big smiles are expected Summer is around the corner.  Spring is coming into play.

Have a wonderful day, I am knocking off now, will try and write something over the weekend.  I dont know how my schedule will be.

Be blessed

Whom do you confide in?

Proverbs 11: 13 “Those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence.”

If I need help with a problem in my personal life I normally speak to my husband or my kids. What I have realized is that not everyone is trustworthy.  The person I always confide in is my husband when it concerns my personal problems.

When it is about my faith I speak to my daughter as we are both on the same page and I feel comfortable sharing with her. In general my confidence is in my own family, I rarely trust other people.

My problem is that in the past people have disappointed me and because of their actions I actually do not confide in close friends. Some people talk too much and I have noticed they speak out.

I have noticed that most people won’t back a loser. Trusting in God is the only way forward in my case. I feel I cannot go wrong.

Prayer

Lord thank You, for teaching us through Your word. We know that You are always available for us. Bless our lives today in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Why do kids tell lies?

Proverbs 14: 5 An honest witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies.

Why do kids tell lies? I believe kids tell lies to try and hide a mistake or to avoid being held responsible for something. I have heard that it is normal for kids to lie.

The reason kids lie could be because they are still very young and live in a fantasy world. They may tell a lie to impress you.

The other reason for telling lies is that they see you doing it. You know "monkey see monkey do."  Look at this example for instance: Mom asks dad: How do these jeans fit? Dad will say: Fine and walk away. It seems socially acceptable to tell a "white lie" to avoid an uncomfortable situation.

Your kids are watching you and they copy what you teach them. To prevent this kind of lying you always need to check yourself.

Kids also using lying to test you, to see how you react. I believe in honesty is the best policy.

Parents teach your kids to speak the truth.

Prayer

Lord please help us as parents to teach our kids to speak the truth. Kids are constantly listening and watching us. Holy Spirit help us to set the example for our kids, in Jesus Christ's name, Amen.

I want to walk victoriously into my future

Proverbs 14: 12 NIV “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”

Ever notice how people react when they are hurting.  Nothing you say can console them at that point in their lives and they lash out against you.  The folks closest to you are normally the ones that bear the brunt of your anger and pain.  In these moments it is difficult even to speak to God, you feel abandoned and alone, you cannot focus on anything but what you are dealing with right now.

I believe now is the time to turn to God, speak openly about what is going on in your life.  No one around you is in a position to help you.  The only person you can trust in is God, turning to Him makes all the sense in this world.

The person who hurt you to such an extent that you cannot move forward or backwards is unaware of the pain they inflicted on you.  They just carry on and here you are still crying.  The best thing you could do for yourself is to forgive them.  Set them free, speak to God about the problem and start moving into a victorious future.

The thing about not forgiving is that it holds you down and it holds you back, there is no progress in your life.  You cannot move forward into your future.

Prayer

Lord today I speak about not forgiven I have been carrying around in my own heart.  Please forgive me, I forgive the person who hurt me.  I set them free asking that You will forgive them too.  Today I want to walk victoriously into my future, the one You have ordained for me.  I ask this in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
