Today what can we do to hear the voice of God? [God’s Voice]

Today what can meditate on hearing the voice of God?

As I focus and mediate on God’s Word I am reminded that Jeremiah was talking to the Israelites about False Religion and that at the end of the day this religion was worthless.  Making a mental note of what is taking up all my time, keeping me so busy that I cannot get to what is important to me I have come to realise I have not been hearing the voice of God.

Why?  Well, I am cooking, cleaning house, washing clothes and not for getting to iron the clothes.  It has become so overwhelming and time consuming I have not taken 5 minutes from my busy schedule to pray.  Shamefully that has been true over the past couple of weeks.  Then I get frustrated and it overwhelms me because I feel I have lost touch with God.

Of all the people I know, that I am the stubborn one, and because of my stubbornness I fall very often.  The children are going back to school and my husband is back to work.  I seem to have some free time.

I don’t know how perfect your spiritual life is and do you also face the same difficulties I do, but in repentance and humbling myself before the Lord my God I pray for forgiveness of sin.

Jeremiah 7: 13 [NIV] ‘While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke to you again and again, but you did not listen; I called you, but you did not answer.’ I am so humbled by these words today, God spoke to me again and again, He called me and I did not answer.  Shamefully, I kept myself too busy to listen for the voice of God. 

Jeremiah 7: 24 [NIV] ‘But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts.  They went backward and not forward.’ So now that I know the state of my relationship with the living God, the God of lights, I have to submit my life anew into His hands.  Retentive and asking that by His grace He would forgive me.

As I focus and study these words today I humble myself before the Living God, my God in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Asking please Lord, forgive me, I have sinned against You.  Keeping myself so busy that I cannot get to where I was supposed to be.

It is clear to many people that I am not perfect and I am at fault.  In the next couple of day’s I want to learn anew how to connect and listen to the Lord my God.  I am making myself available to His word and trusting that I am forgiven based on the Word, I am redeemed through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2017! Happy New Year! [God Bless you]

I want to take this opportunity in wishing each and every one of you a blessed and happy New Year.  2017 is a year my daughter is praying for restoration, in my life as well as in the lives of my friends and family.   I want to pray that you will also find restoration.  I pray that where you need finances, health, relationships or whatever your needs is that it will be restored.

God is awesome and has blessed both you and me with a New Year.  We have no idea as to what it holds; each day is like a blank page, waiting for us to write our story.  My second day and I cannot wait to see how awesome my God is.

It is my heart’s desire to listen to God and hear His voice.

May we draw closer to the Lord our God and may our hearts and minds be centered on Him, building our relationship with Him, listening to His voice and obeying it.

You are precious and God loves you, thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts and hopes and dreams.

A heartfelt prayer [Jesus]

Baruch Haba b'Shem Adonai. Blessed is He who humbles themselves before You today.  We bring You praise, we worship You and thank You.  Lord thank You for another year coming to a close.  Thank You for answered prayer throughout the year.  Thank You for blessings in abundance.  Thank You for good opportunities for each person I prayed for by name.

My Master without Your hand of protection in my life, I am nothing.  Thank You for the time I could spend in Your presence.  Open my eyes and my ears, lift the veil from my face so that I may draw near to You.  Give me the necessary wisdom, insight, and understanding.  Lord, I ask You for the supernatural favor in my own life as well as supernatural favor into the lives of each person reading my prayer.  Open doors of great opportunity, Lord give each of us wisdom to become more than what we think of ourselves.

Thank You for being there for us, thank You for answered prayer.  In the Holy Name of Jesus.  Amen 

‘Tis the Season to be jolly!

Another year is drawing to a close, our lives have been enriched with beautiful memories, some difficult times, a lot of blessed times and loads of laughter.  This year was a good year, from the beginning to the end. 

This is the first time in a very long time I feel excited about Christmas, I used to dread this time of year, it seemed to be a difficult time, loads of tears, and heartbreak.

It will be different this year, my children and I and our families are going to spend Christmas time together.  There are peace and quiet and we all are feeling good about ourselves.  The stress of difficulty is gone.

Relationship
I remarried and there are stepchildren, then, of course, my own children and granddaughters.   We are all getting on much better, live is a little more relaxed.

Responsibilities
And of course, the biggest stress I face is a ‘job loss’.  I am praying the Lord will bless me next year with a good paying job.  I believe God can move mountains.

My Decisions
My husband’s favorite antic the decisions you make today affect your tomorrow.  You know these words haunt my life, and I really don’t even want to think about things like making any decisions.  You can make a wrong choice and it can come and bite you.

Moving forward
For my life I have decided to move forward, let the people who hate me, hate me.  The people who talk ill about me, God will deal with them.  The judgmental and gossiping people; the same, leave them to their gossip, God will deal with them.  I think that each person who feels they have the right to discuss my life and tell people how they perceive me, may they get exactly what they say about me. 

Luckily my family isn't in this category and I know they will never bad mouth me.  The bitter and nasty words spoken against me is from so called friends, shame.

2017
I believe with all my heart, God is going to bless me with the sales of my book, I will publish my book and I will be able to leave a legacy for my children and grandchildren.  God is my rock, I will not be moved.  What an awesome prospect.  I adore the Lord with all my heart.  Amen

Why do we sometimes feel so really down?

You know when you feel no mountain is too high and no valley too deep, but sometimes everything comes to a point that you just want to run away.

Ag, I probably just need a chocolate or something sweet.  Perhaps I should just get over myself, I really think that's really easier said than done.

Let me not depress you, I know I have so much to be grateful for.

Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of his servant?  Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.

The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.  He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.

When you bow down to God each morning, His word will sustain you, each and every morning, He will teach you.  You will be able to help others.  God bless you.
