Pay it forward this Christmas.

Let’s all do something especially nice for someone you know of in need.  In the Bible God says in Deuteronomy 11: 14 ‘I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil.’

Because I believe we have God’s supernatural favour in our lives let us pay it forward this Christmas.  I want to remind you that in Psalm 31: 15 ‘my times are in your hands.’  I want to challenge you to do something nice for someone this Christmas.

Let’s pay it forward to someone in need; there may be a person that needs food, clothing or medical assistance.  Don’t make it known that you helped this person, do in anonymously and see how God will bless you in time to come.

Violated trust!

‘All of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”’  1 Peter: 5: 5

The first step to healing your mistrust in other people is to humble yourself before God and serve man.  If you think this is easy let me tell you truthfully; it isn’t.  This is a process which takes time, because of your violated trust it is almost impossible to trust people.  The most important thing you should realise is that your trust is normally violated by someone very close to you.

Humbly yourself before God isn’t that easy.  It isn’t a matter of say ‘I humble myself’ and you are humble.  No sir, it doesn’t work that way.  Things in your life will challenge you and the proud spirit you have will automatically jump to your defence.  ‘How dear you speak to me like that.’  This was my first reaction and it took me some time to realise, hey that isn’t someone being humble.  In difficult situations I find it hard not to speak my mind and stand my man.  The only way to overcome this is to pray in the spirit and ask the Lord God to place a watch over your mouth and guard your thoughts.  Believe me this is a process and I am still learning each day.  So being submissive toward my new husband is slowly but surely falling into place.  Being kind towards other people is just as difficult because my pride is my main stumbling block.

‘He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.’ Matthew 10: 39

The second and most important part is to really and truly seek the Lord God.  You need to stop and watch your words and thoughts.  You need to make an effort in spending time in God’s word and become quiet in His presence.  At first you won’t feel that you are making any progress.  Then suddenly God will speak into your life.  Something will just fall into place and you will know without a doubt God just spoke to you.

‘And this commandment we have from Him:  that he who loves God must love his brother also.’ 1 John 4: 21

Thirdly, to take this violated hurt away you need to love your neighbour.  Believe me this too isn’t something that just happens overnight.  The minute you start working on your relationship with God many things start to fall apart around you.  You will find people are aggressive and ready to take you on for any situation.  But take heart and push through this, because the end result is amazing.

God will lift you up and you will become someone God ordained you to be.  Your life will have meaning and you will feel fulfilled.

Prayer

Lord God, in my heart I want to dedicate people into Your hands that have been through all kinds of abusive situations.  They may have been abused and it may have left them feeling empty and violated.  Lord I don’t know what their situations may be but in humbleness I dedicate each person into Your hands today asking for forgiveness of sin.  Praying Lord that You will touch their lives and bring healing into their lives.  Helping them deal with each situation as it comes along, and moving closer to You in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Lord I pray for their protection and healing and ask You to help them.  Amen

Change

I don’t know about you but I think ‘change’ is constant.  The weather changes, your mood changes constantly, the prices of goods changes.  So it is imperative that we need to accept that change is something always taking place.  The best is ‘we’ hate change.  I wonder why?  Well from my perspective I believe because we cannot control ‘change’.  What we don’t realise is that when there is change there is obviously ‘progress’.

Today has been one of those long and drawn-out days.  The truth is I didn’t come before God in prayer this morning, I got distracted and I prayed later on but the day seems wasted on all kinds of nothings.
We don’t always believe it but one thing stands out like a pole above water and that is God is always in control.  He made everything and it is up to Him to either promote you or demote you.  God can bring change into your life in a blink of an eye.  When we believe we are in control of our own lives that just when God brings a sudden change.

Isaiah 2: 22 ‘Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils.  Of what account is he?’  Hmm it makes you think, what can man do that will affect your life????

My goodness ...

My foundation has been shaken a couple of times and I realise that God is moving me into the place where I am supposed to be.  I find it difficult to always stay focused and stay in prayer.  I find that my current position makes me feel miserable and I am tired of the negative vibe in the office.

"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established." Romans 13: 1

Forgiven

Favour and Blessings for you today, it is my prayer that you would enjoy God’s love, grace and healing wherever you are.  Forgiving our friends, family or colleagues for some offense they performed against us is often difficult.  People are imperfect and can do the strangest things.  You may have taken offence by a word or action against you.  Perhaps someone has said or done something to cause you to really feel angry at them.  You find that forgiving them for their trespasses don’t sit well with you.  The problem with forgiveness is that once you keep the offence in your heart you grow another seed called bitterness.   The thing about bitterness is that it grows really fast.  People who tend to be bitter have suffered a really bad ordeal and the forgiving of the offense seems impossible.   Why would you forgive someone who hurt you and still gets away with their offenses?  Simple, they don’t even realise you are struggling with forgiveness and carry on with their own lives, it doesn’t really affect them.  You on the other hand have these thoughts that plague you constantly and the more you dwell on the topic the bitter you become.

My friend the first step to forgiving someone is to actually speak it out load so that your own ears can hear what you have said.  The next step would be to phone or write the person tell them “I forgive you for doing this”, it doesn’t mean you agree with what has happened but it means you have dealt with it and you are moving on.  Then write it on a piece of paper and go and burn it as a symbol that you have put it behind you.
God is faithful and will always help you through your trials and tribulations.  Lift up your heart, body and soul to the Lord so that He may heal you.  Isaiah 43: 19 ‘For I am about to do something new.  See, I have already begun!’

Father God, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ I pray for the forgiveness of sin in my own life.  Lord I forgive the people You know I have identified for the offenses they have done against me.  Lord I speak life into their lives and set them free.  Lord I humble myself before You and ask that by Your mercy and grace You will lift me up again.  Lord I ask that You sewer the seeds of un-forgiveness and bitterness in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, replacing these two bad seeds with compassion and gentleness.  In Jesus Christs Name I pray.  Amen

Supernatural Favour

Joshua was one of those guys that hung around Moses and Aaron and he wanted to experience the supernatural favour of God in his own life.  Wherever Moses went Joshua was in toe.  Joshua was really positioning himself to get to know God through walking and talking with Moses and Aaron.  By being faithful in service to Moses and Aaron, Joshua walked in the favour of God.  ‘That day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they revered him all the days of his life …’ Joshua 4: 14.

It is my desire to pray for you this evening, I want to pray and ask the Lord God to bless all my family and friends with His supernatural favour.  I want to ask that each person that reads my blog will enjoy the supernatural favour of God in their own lives and that they will know God is out there for all of them.

This little word that is out there … Lord blesses this word that it may return to You.  Lord thank You for Your supernatural favour in my own life and thank You for this opportunity in spreading Your word.
In the name of Jesus Christ … Amen
