Thank You #Lord #JesusChrist
Isaiah 41:13
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, 'Do not fear; I will help you.'
These past couples of days have been hectic in my own life and that of the lives of my family. My mom and oom Frik have been under the threat of being evicted and needed somewhere to stay. Bless Andus in his work today, give him supernatural favor with each and every person today, Lord blesses him in all his work. Lord guides him and protects him. Let no harm come to him. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over his life.
Praise the Lord our God for open the right doors for them to move into a big beautiful flat. God is so gracious and He is constantly looking out for our wellbeing.
I believe with my entire heart and mind that my God hears my prayers and I just need to learn to trust Him more. I bring You all the Praise, worship and adorations I can think of Lord Jesus Christ.
Father thank You for open doors, open hearts, and open lives, Thank You that You are in control over our lives and that You have made a way for all of us.
We praise You and worship at Your feet. Love You, with all my heart, body and soul. Amen

Book Review - The Last Best Thing
Book Review: The Last Best Thing
Author: Kate Sebeny
Personal Quality Rating: 3
Summary:
This Novella is written using the setting of the farm in Iowa. A short story not more than 84 pages starts off with a statement from Sam. The characters in the story are all in the retired years, people that have come together due to circumstances.
Betty’s daughter Libby comes to live with her mother to help her aging father who suffers from Alzheimer’s and Betty’s friends Sam and Sarah and Joe. The story takes a turn when one of the characters needs help in committing suicide. This happens suddenly and to be honest I didn’t expect it from this person as they supposedly loved the other person.
A lot of bantering takes place which makes the story enjoyable to read. Then a twist in the story takes place when someone turns up that the farm house inquiring about the deceased person.
Social / Historical Context:
The normal day-to-day living in a very tight community of no more than 5 people and what they do and talk about. It was amazing to see how these old folk adjusted and helped each other. They seemed to be living life as it presented itself to them. I felt the hardship they were facing and yet it was not that difficult as they had each other comradery.
It reminded me of my mom in some way the way she is aging and how thin she too was. The way they cope with matters and be what they are there and then.
Writing Style:
The writing style to my mind is common place. It narrated a relationship with each other out of circumstances and friendships. The writer seems to understand the aging process and has sympathy with the characters.
It narrates a group of elderly people living together due to circumstance beyond their control.
My Thoughts:
The story depicted a telling of aging people, circumstances that made for an unforeseen decision on a suicide or was it a murder or was it euthanasia? The person that assisted with the act of taking care of this person dilemma didn’t consider their own conscience and the impact of their decision later on.
As fiction I think was very close to real life experience and the problems that elderly people face with sickness and misfortune.

Book Review - Woman to Woman
Name of the Book: Woman to Woman
Author: Joyce Meyer
Personal Quality Rating: 5
Summary
I love reading books that were written by this author; she is focused on teaching the Word of God and explaining how we are able to incorporate the word into our daily lives. Woman to woman is one of those books that touch every aspect of a woman’s life.
The writer focuses on key issues that affect each and every woman at some stage in their lives. I have found that each of these issues that have been highlighted was prevalent at some time in my life.
The book is easy to read and understand; constantly bringing the reader back to the Word of God with scriptures that make it understandable and how to incorporate the word into your own life.
I believe that because experienced each of the issues she highlighted it was easy to express her in such a way that other woman could relate. The woman of today has a lot on their plates and as the writer says we all wear different “hats”.
Social/Historical Context
Woman to woman is based on the writers live experiences and how she learned to trust in God Almighty with all the issues she faced. The message she wants to bring across is that we can do even better when we have someone on our team. That someone is the Lord Jesus Christ.
I believe because the writer has a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ it is possible for her to reveal all the key elements to make one journey that much easier.
Writing Style
The writer definitely knows what she is talking about; she has personal experience in these matters and has valid answers which can assist woman in similar circumstances. The writing style is common place as well as evocation. The writer is narrating her own life story and how she dealt with numerous circumstances with an ability to constantly draw on God’s help.
My thoughts
As Christian woman today we need to learn how to deal with issues in our lives, the writer has the ability to bring the Word of God into her writing, based on facts and circumstances. The writer has to my mind a living relationship with the Lord God.
I believe many of the key issues that the writer wrote about are exactly what I have been struggling with in my own life and now I can see another person’s perspective on how to deal and relate to these issues.
You cannot fail in purchasing this book, it can only help you move forward in life and help you build a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, I would definitely say this is a good read and you cannot go wrong in reading this well written, easy to read Book.
Where do you let #God #fit into your #life?
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). Matthew 22: 37
Sunday has its perks we go to Church, teach Sunday School, enjoy lunch with our families, take a nap get ready for the evening and then go to bed.
It’s Monday and we are all busy, today my life is a little different it is raining here in the “heartland” and we cannot do what we normally do. There are no ways we can do our washing and get it hang out on the washing line. It will be soaking wet with rain water.
As I was thinking about this I have been asking the Lord God for raining probably the whole of last week, each day walking outside and asking “Lord where is the rain?” No rain today with all my washing lying in the washing machine, I see God sent me the rain I was asking Him about.
Now, where is God in my life? I am serious, actively and positively looking to find God in each aspect of my entire life.
I believe that I love the Lord my God with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind. I truly believe that is how I feel about God.
Today I want you to think about your position to God. Where do you fit God in? Is God alive and well with you?
We know that God has been around for ever and ever look at the word Colossians 1 verse 17 says “and He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, and held together).” To my mind God is with me right this very minute and I love Him with all my heart and mind.
If you aren’t sure where God is in your life, take a moment and mediate on His word, find time and spend it with Him. Invite Him back into Your life again. Without God we are nothing.
Electricity and Water Issues – Mpumalanga Witbank South Africa
As a resident of this place I truly am so upset, we cannot do much about it because it seems this place is out to take every little bit out of their residence. The municipality owes Eskom so much money and has not paid the bill for the usage of Electricity. Let me tell you something if we miss one payment they cut off the electricity and make you pay penalty fees to have it switched back on.
We also suffer the inconvenience of no electricity which also affects our water. The water, by the way, is another story all on its own. If you drink this water you will really be violently sick. Resulting in us needing to buy bottled water which cost us more, as we are paying for water at home too.
As a stay home mom, I cannot do my washing on Mondays because the electricity is switched off at 06h00 am to 08h00 am and the water is non-existent. To top it off tonight we go through the same thing again from 17h00 to 19h30 pm no lights. Don’t be misled this will happen on a daily basis the weekend is no different. We are paying Sandton rates and tax’s in Witbank.
My question is why must the people who are paying their bills to be affected by
the negligence of the municipality? We are being kept accountable for their mistakes. What is going to become of our cities?

Book Review - The Next Target Nikki Arana
Name of the Book: The Next Target
Author: Nikki Arana
Personal Quality Rating: 5
[The Personal Quality Rating is a score that I have given to the book on a scale of 0 to 5 based on my personal liking / disliking of the book. 0 is bad and 5 is great!]
Summary:
A gripping Christian Novella, which kicks off with a brutal killing of a young converted Muslim girl. This was an honour killing. The murderous Islamic tradition of family members killing one of their own for bringing dishonour to the family name. Austia Donatelli recently widowed runs a Career Center to help Muslim people adjust to the American culture. She employees a guy with the name of Zaki ben Hassan. After she employed him she feels uncomfortable with his presence and tries to fire him. He stays and the plot thickens.
Austia is constantly on her guard and watchful off Zaki, she just cannot trust him. She is unaware of the dangerous people all around her and she makes the mistake of trusting a really deceptive and dangerous man. The plot thickens and she tries to help a lady escape from her brutal barbering husband. There are a number of characters in the story which makes this story exceptionally interesting. The culture of the Muslims and the way they behave is described exceptionally well.
I like Austia but thought she was a little naïve and did not go with her gut. This of course made the story actually seem real at times. The intrigue and cunningness of some of the characters made me sit up and pay attention to the next couple of events.
The story takes you on an adventure you would not usually experience in life. The best part is the ending and I really enjoyed it because you don’t see this coming. I would say this was so unforeseen.
Social / Historical Content
I guess the story is truly based on two different religions and how the two come into contact with each other. The most interesting part of the story is how the Christians work and help the Muslims and the conversions of Muslims into Christianity. I think that the writer could have been a Muslim because of her vast knowledge of their customs and rituals. Converting to Christianity which makes me envy her for her courage and writing style.
The story is well written and it is easy to fall in love with Austia. Her innocence and her loving-kindness and her trusting most people, and her constant struggle with her own gut feelings. Zaki is a surprise and you will see when you read this story, o my goodness. Excellent!
Writing Style
The writing style to my thinking is that the author has the ability to keep her readers engaged and interested in what the next move in the story would be. I found the book interesting and easy to read. My thinking is that the story depicts both common place and evocation.
The plot thickens each time a new character comes into play and it is clear the writer knows what she wants to tell her readers. I believe that she is a Christian and has a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus.
The knowledge and understanding of the Muslim community is revealed in this story telling and I learned so much of these people.
If you are a Christian and would like to know more about the Muslim Religion this story will reveal so much to you. I enjoyed the read tremendously and I have a new perspective concerning the Muslims and as a Christian see them in a different light.
My thoughts
When I stated to read the book I was thinking it would be based on a murder and then how the murder would be solved; involving the Muslim girl making it a hate crime. I didn’t anticipate the two major religions to come into play so seriously. As I continued my read I found that I learned so much about the Muslim community and the best part is how the writer gets the Word of God out to the Muslims.
As a Christian I would recommend the book and I believe you too will enjoy the story. I was surprised at the ending because I didn’t anticipate it. But then with God all things are possible.

Focusing on my future with the #Lord #Jesus #Christ of #Nazareth
“You… grant him [power to calm himself and find] peace in the days of adversity.” Psalm 94: 13 AMP
As I read these words it is my heart’s desire to center all my energy and time on the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I have come to a place in my life that I need to find peace of mind, I sometimes get the feeling of being tired and overwhelmed and lose sight of the Words God has put in my heart. I know that I am the righteousness of God in Christ but sometimes I forget.
I want to come into God’s presence as He is my Father with the anointing blood of Jesus covering all my sins and iniquities making me presentable and acceptable to the Father. I know God has called me by name and that I am His.
Today I want to encourage you as well as myself the listen to the voice of God, and delight ourselves in God because we know His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We know that nothing is too heavy for us to bear or too difficult to deal with.
Help me take note of all the blessings You have for me and help me Lord to see and appreciate You loving kindness in my hour of adversity. Help me Lord Jesus Amen

Valentine #Jesus #Christ of #Nazareth
Jeremiah 31:3
'I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to Myself.'
What an awesome God we serve, the Father was thinking of you today, when you thought no one cares about me. God sent you a special Valentine Card, which reads “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to Myself.”
This is the most beautiful and wonderful Valentines card ever, the Father God loves us so much He refers to it “as an everlasting love.” Reminding us too that He loves us with an “unfailing love” what does He do “drawing you to Myself.”
If you didn’t get Valentine's card today, here is one especially for you for the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. You are precious and God Loves you with an everlasting and unfailing love.
As I meditate on these beautiful words today I do want to encourage you to stay focused on the Lord. Don’t be afraid and do not lose hope, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth loves you and you may call on Him anytime you wish.
My prayer for you today is this: Abba Father, thank You, Lord, for this encouraging Valentines card, we receive it in the Holy Name of Your Only Begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We love and adore You Lord with all our hearts and minds. Amen

What motivates you? #Courage #Strength #Fear #Prayer #God’s #Word
Psalm 27: 1 KJV
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
I have been focusing on learning more about the LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth and what backs the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth Name. I must tell you I will stand on His name and fear no more. I am entitled to so much more but because I have allowed fear and doubt into my life I find myself in an awkward position.
The thing is we need to learn to confess what God’s word #Bible teaches us, but because we allow other people to impart into our lives we don’t find out for ourselves. We accept people's point of view and what they believe and almost always suck it up as “truths.” Are you facing a difficult time, are you feeling fearful, because you have the lack of finances, you fear unemployment, perhaps you fear being rejected. Come and see how King David dealt with fear.
Kind David taught me a great lesson and I am going to keep this in mind going forward. Fear was knocking at the door of his mind and he said: “whom shall I fear?” In the very same sentence he asks “of whom shall I be afraid?” Turning his mind back to God he said “my heart shall not fear” and then confession “in this will I be confident.” Kind David must have sat down and meditated a while and decided to deal with fear head on.
King David prayed and said “One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.”
Still mediating and speaking to the LORD; King David prayed “teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breath out cruelty.”
King David ends his prayer “Wait on the LORD; be of good courage and he sahll strenghten thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” We can come in good courage and strenght knowing God will help our efforts.
