New action - new outcome

Hosea 1 New International Version (NIV)

When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him, “Go, marry a promiscuous woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness to the Lord.”
So he married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.

Hose was a prophet of the Living God.  God told Hosea go and find a promiscuous woman and have children with her.  It seems that today’s children are very promiscuous and we don’t seem to worry too much about it.  We tell them use protection and don’t get into trouble but we don’t teach them to abstain and keep themselves pure for the marriage bed.

I wonder if Gomer the daughter of Diblaim was taught to be a promiscuous woman or if she was so beautiful that she just couldn’t help herself and was drawn to men sexually.  She just couldn’t help herself?

We should rein in our children in, teach them the right way and the outcome will be so much better.  Don’t leave them going about their own business, they are too young to decided what’s right from wrong, we must teach our children.  While they are young and when they grow old they will know right from wrong.

The appointed time

Daniel 11 : 33 - 35 (NIV)

33 “Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered. 34 When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them. 35 Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.

Reading the Bible and currently my daily reading has brought me to the book of Daniel.  When reading it I must tell you that I feel awed by the amazing and spectacular visions Daniel was honored to receive from the Lord.  On reading the vision and just focusing on all Daniel has heard seen and experienced I must be honest in saying I am awed by the visions.

Thinking of the times we are living in and looking at our world right now it almost seems like we are in the ‘appointed time’.  There are constant wars waged against Israel.  Russian’s are at war, Americans are at war.  Ebola is taking many lives in Africa.  Things are truly upside down.  Shouldn’t we get back to basic and call upon the Lord our God of Israel, in the Holy name of Jesus Christ?

Or do we believe we have so much time left it won’t matter; it’s still in the future.

Joy

In these last couple of weeks I have been blessed with so many feelings of joy.  In August I received an email telling me that I was chosen and that my daily devotion would be published on the 1st of September 2014.  Not grasping what was said in the email I read and re-read the mail a couple of times to make sure I understood what it meant.  My goodness, it struck me that something I wrote was seen as good enough to be published with very well-known celebrities.

As the excitement took me giggling and laughing I ran to my husband who was sitting watching TV and told him the good news.  My eyes shining and the biggest smile you can think of on my face.  The bubbling feeling of excitement building up as I re-read the email, the fact that I would be published made me laugh and giggle again and again.  My heart was racing, I felt wonderful and suddenly felt I meant something.

In a moment my entire life was lifted up and I felt like I was being able to see again, the joy of knowing that I was seen as important enough to be placed into a daily devotion with so many famous people made my day.  I still feel so light headed and giggle each time I think about the news, I watch the mail and impatiently await the new book.  To see my own name published is something I am sure you all have experience except me.

Joy fills my heart and it feels like all I want to do is sing and laugh and giggle and jump up and down enjoying the feeling of well-being and the knowledge that my God is able to make my life turn around in an instant.  I live each moment in awe and waiting with anticipation for each day because the joy of finding out there is so much in store for me.

Lord Jesus I love you.

Time

12 And at that time [of the end] Michael shall arise, the great [angelic] prince who defends and has charge of your [Daniel’s] people. And there shall be a time of trouble, straitness, and distress such as never was since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the Book [of God’s plan for His own].

Imagine this and no disrespect intended.

It’s the year 2050 and time has run out for the human race on the face of the earth.  The stench of their sin reaches heaves gates.  The people are so technology wise and seem to believe they are so cleaver and that there just isn’t a God.  The odd person still preaching about the Lord Jesus – is being hunted down, persecuted and made fools of.  Life on earth has become really challenging for people that don’t bear the mark of the beast.

The council gathered in the Lords presence and stood as God walked into the great hall and took His place on the throne.  The Lord Jesus is seated next to Him.  Michael steps up and forward.  As he bows his head and waits for the Lord to address him, his wings spread out.  The Angels shout in one voice “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty!!!”

God speaks to Michael “You have to go and gather my children.”  Michael looks at the Lord God and then to Jesus the Lord.  “My Lord God, Your will is my command.”

Michael turns around and walks out of the great hall toward the doors.  “Michael”  the Lord Jesus calls out his name.  Stopping in his tracks he turns to the Lord and waits.  Jesus the Lord is standing next to him.  “Be gentle with the children, the aged and the weak.”

Michael arrives on the earth, there is destruction, confusion, wars, oppression and all kinds of trouble.  People are distressed and the nations are at war with each other.  Michael looks at the hurt and pain on many of the people’s faces.  There loveless lives reveal the anger and disappointment and they are shouting hateful chants at strange people.

The angels and Michael start to gather the people who have been written in the Book of life.  People in hordes and then the unsaved realises what is happening and start rushing toward the saved.  They want to come along too.  The time ran out for them, too late.……

Fear

15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!

Humbly Father God, Abba Father I come before You this morning.  Lord people all over the world experience the emotion of fear.  Lord the threat of losing their jobs, marriages that are threatened by a third party.  Lord people fear the loss of loved once and the list goes on.  The view matters I bring to You this morning in humble prayer is please help us turn back to You.

Abba Father in the Holy Name of Your Son Jesus Christ I come before You and I pray for the peace of the people in Israel, Your chosen people.  I pray Lord also for the nations all over the world today.  I pray for peace for today, let Your Spirit fill our lives.

Lord where there is fear, please remove it and replace it with peace of mind, something we cannot comprehend when You give it to us.

Holy Spirit I pray that You will touch each person reading my daily devotion and that You will give them the necessary peace for today.  In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Amen

Conquerors

Romans 8 : 36 - 39 (NIV)
36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[j]
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Conquerors are normally people who are able to withstand may kinds of trials and tribulations.  People that are strong willed and mostly determined to make it no matter what.  Then looking at the scripture Paul wrote it reminds us that our Conqueror is the Lord Jesus Christ and when we feel weak and helpless our Lord Jesus Christ is able to help us conqueror all our difficult times.

Lord Jesus You are more than a conqueror to me You Lord are my Holy place and my refuge.  Thank You for being there for me in my hour of need.

I love you Lord Jesus!
