"May the best day of your past Be the worst day of your future." My Dad always wished me this Irish Blessing and I want it to matter today and every other day in my life.

‘n Man sien nie altyd dinge soos ons dit sien nie.
Ek dink byvoorbeeld aan die naweek, my man, is eintlik baie
oulik, hy probeer altyd verstaan wat ek doen en probeer my altyd
ondersteun. Ek weet hy he dat ek altyd spesiaal moet voel. Ons kan ook soms mekaar misverstaan. Dis regtig so, ek sal iets doen wat hy net
nie kan verstaan nie. Hy se ook ek
verstaan jou nie. Ek het toe vir hom die
naweek gese ‘jy moet my nie verstaan nie, dis jou werk om my net lief te he.’
Hoekom is hy speciaal vir my? Wel op die oomblik is hy die enigste een wat
presies weet wat in my lewe aan die gang is.
Ek praat natuurlik met my kinders maar daar is goed wat ek nie met almal
deel nie. Dis persoonlik en omdat dit
persoonlik is weet hy daarvan.
So my liewe man net ‘n woordtjie: ek dink jy is wonderlik met jou eienaardige
insigte, ek is lief vir jou met al jou snaakse idees. Ek waardeer dat jy my nie inperk nie en dat
jy my die Vryheid gee om te kan lewe soos ek wil. Baie dankie.
Mag jy ‘n wonderlik dag geniet by die werk en wanneer jy
huis toe kom hoop ek jy sal darem iets van my kan verstaan. Of nie!

Jordan
2 Kings 2 (Amplified Bible)
11 As they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses
of fire parted the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it and he cried, My father, my father! The chariot of
Israel and its horsemen! And he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own
clothes and tore them in two pieces.
13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and went back
and stood by the bank of the Jordan.
There comes a time when we all have to face our ‘Jordan’
when something happens and we need to take over from our peers.
As Elijah was preparing Elisha for the job at hand they were
strolling down and all of a sudden out from the heavens came a chariot of fire
and horses of fire which parted both Elijah and Elisha. Thinking about that I was struck by the
description of how the Lord sent a chariot from heaven to pick Elijah up and
bring him into heaven. Totally amazing
was this and must have struck Elisha as wonderful.
Elisha wanted to be as good as Elijah. Now he didn’t have his mentor anymore, he had
to get up and move on. He could stand
around and mope all day but he took the mantle for Elijah that fell to the
ground and threw it over his shoulders.
Reading him to take up his position.
He started doing exactly what Elijah taught him.
Take up your position as you go through your Jordan, live
starts now. It won’t be easy but you can
do this. You have been preparing for so
long.

People I draw towards myself
One of the problems I have is that I am a very judgemental
person. I can listen to a conversation
in within minutes deduct what kind of person I am dealing with. The problem with that is that I have become
too judging. Now the Lord truly has a
good sense of humour, He gave me to look after a teenager who is just so
judging.
My problem isn’t the fact that I can discern what the person
is like, my problem is that I draw these kinds of people towards me
constantly. I need help because I need
to learn the lesson and move on. What
must I do to stop the judgemental attitude?
Lord help me!

Ruth - changed the outcome of her life dramatically
Praise the Eternal One, He has not abandone you. He did not leave without a redeeming guardian. May your offspring become famous all through Israel. Ruth 4: 14
Ruth is one of my favourite classics in the bible. As I look at her life I admire her for her tenacity
in being able to take a decision on where she wants to be and what her motives
are. She leaves behind her own country
and countrymen going to a new country.
With her mother-in-law going with her whom had lost everything, her
husband and both her sons. Naomi is faced
with a new challenge, as she speaks to her friends she tells them how
disappointed she feels. All the
important people in her life had passed away, she feels God deserted her. Then Ruth comes with her to her
mother-in-laws country and she starts working in the fields gathering food for
the both of them. Ruth finds favour in
the eyes of a very important relative of Naomi now named Mara. Now Boas the owner of the field asked about
Ruth and gave orders that Ruth be treated fairly. Boas really looked out for Ruth and she received
his favour by being able to follow his workers and eating with them. On telling her mother-in-law she is told to
be kind and sleep at the feet of Boas.
Boas woke up in the night and saw her on speaking to her he told her he
would speak to the elders of the community and the other relative who would
have the right to buy the land her mother-in-law was selling.
As the practice was in the town, he asked a couple of the
elders from the town to sit with him as he waited for the relative to come into
town. On spotting the relative he called
him over and told him that Naomi was selling her land and that he was first in
line to buy the land. The relative said
yes he was interested. The Boas said
there was the matter of Ruth the Moabite woman that would have to be taken in
as part of the deal. Considering the
situation the relative decided not to accept the offer and said that he would
not want to buy the land. Boas stated
that he intended to buy the land and that he would marry Ruth.
All done and said he gave his sandal as confirmation of the
deal and took Ruth as his wife. Ruth
made her mother-in-law really happy when she fell pregnant with a son whom she
named Obed and the best of all is that Obed then became Jesse’s father in turn
David’s father.
The Lord is awesome and HE knows best. Bad things happen to good people but the outcome
is always pleasing. If you are facing a difficult
time in your life, take time to fast and pray and see how the Lord works in
your live and saves you with an awesome outcome.
