Lord God You are bringing me into a good land ... I confess it today!

“For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land — a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills.”
(Deuteronomy 8:7, NIV)
I have been hearing from the Holy Spirit through the Bible in quiet time as well as through family and friends and also through my daily devotions.  "The LORD my God is bringing me into a good land - a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills.

I am going to Live my life today ... dream my dreams tomorrow and cherish my yesterday, keeping the good and letting go of the bad.

I am so grateful that the Lord My God has blessed me with the ability to draw and enjoy a full life.  Thank you Father God.

Blessing to you, because all my friends are a Blessing!!!!

Prosper through hard work

Proverbs 14: 23 The Voice

23 Prosperity comes from hard work, but talking too much leads to great scarcity.

Thinking about these word I must tell you it is so true, I have seen when I get to work and get down to business and do what is on my desk immediately I have a lot of free time the rest of the day.  By looking at the piles of paper siting on my desk talking about when I get down to doing the work and just paging through them makes no difference.  Later on they are still there and then here by the end of the week I have twice as much to process than before.

So procrastination is truly the same as talking too much about what I should be doing than putting my hands out and actually doing the job.  Another thing that I must tell you I have observed is by being diligent in working hard while the work is pouring in, this not only makes me become better at what I do, I then start to excel.

For me I would like to be the best in what I do, all the time.  I want to excel in my work and be sure that I work properly every time.  Doing something right the first time is more important to me than speed.

I believe the Word of God that Proverbs reminds me that through hard work I will prosper and on the other hand by just talking about it will lead to disaster and mistakes, which we cannot afford anyway.

Celebrate Jesus with a joy that is glorious and beyond word.

1 Peter 1: 8 the Voice

Although you haven’t seen Jesus, you still love Him.  Although you don’t yet see Him, you do believe in Him and celebrate with a joy that is glorious and beyond words.

I do believe in the Lord Jesus and I really believe that I love the LORD Jesus.  It is my desire to be renewed each day by the Word of God.  I so want to be a true child of God.  I must be honest and tell you at times it seems so difficult to be joyful and act in the appropriate manner.  Circumstances can drive you and me to act out of character.

Still I love the Lord Jesus and still I want to see Him one day.

To me to celebrate with a joy that is glorious and beyond words, I really am not sure that I will really get my mind around that.  I do the best I can as I feel that my life isn’t 100% right but I do believe that I am a child of God.

My love for the LORD Jesus is real and never stop thinking about Him, each day His on my mind.
Celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ with me and enjoy a wonderful peace filled December.

You are a blessing!!

What is love?

<img src="love.jpg" alt="love" width="300" height="200">

We watch our parents love

Where do we learn to love?

Oscar Wild wrote ‘Keep love in your heart.  A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.’  Love is patient, love is kind, love endures all things and love is unconditional.
December is a month of celebration, thankfulness and mostly of showing how much we love and care for each other.  We all learned this by watching our parents.  Where did they learn it?  Of course from their parents and then the question I pose is how did it all come about?  To my mind I believe it to be through the birth of someone so important and still with each of us.  The Lord Jesus Christ, the fact of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
Just by reading and following the word we learn that the Lord was kind, He loved unconditionally and had deep compassion for people.  We need to take a page from His book.  Watching my grandchildren I have come to realize they have unconditional love.  They love you just the way you are.  They accept you as you are and they adore you for who you are.
Christmas is a time to show your love to family and friends.  We speak about our ‘loved one’s’ let’s start by being considerate, patient, understanding.  Let reach out this Christmas and make a difference.
Love drives away hatred; it drives away pain and brings joy into our hearts.  Remember love is not a feeling it is an act of your heart.  Lift someone’s life up today by loving them for who they are.
Placing someone else happiness before your own is an act of love.  Reminding us to listen more carefully and understand more fully with love we can change each other.
Be a toddler today and love unconditionally, start with baby steps and progress to see a life changed yours and mine.  I love you!
What your parents might not have taught you is to get good Insurance.

5 Best reasons why - Our God is an Awesome God!

      God is a Person

My God is a person, in Genesis 1: 26 ‘God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.’  So if I am a person God has to be a person too, I believe that God can relate to me because of this verse.  I am made into the image and likeness of my God.

In Psalm 7: 6 (Amp) ‘Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; lift up Yourself against the rage of my enemies; and awaken [and stir up] for me the justice and vindication [that] You have commanded.’  Now it is clear that my God also get angry and He can help us.  A characteristic of the God I love.  Other characteristics are being conscious of what is taking place and He also has joy.

  My God is Immutable

As I think of this word I want to assign it to an Awesome God, my God.  I looked up the meaning of ‘immutable’ and it says that it means something is ‘unable to be changed’ or that the ‘immutable laws of nature’.  Thinking about my Awesome God I decided to incorporate a verse from Psalm 89: 2 (Amp) ‘For I have said, Mercy and loving-kindness shall be built up forever; Your faithfulness will You establish in the very heavens [unchangeable and perpetual].’

Proverbs 12: 28 (Amp) ‘Life is in the way of righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation), and in its pathway there is no death but immortality (perpetual, eternal life).’

As I believe I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ I can stand on these words as I believe in an Awesome God.

My God is Invisible

God is invisible to us because He is a spirit and we cannot see beyond our physical world, we don’t have the ability to see spirit.  Colossians 1: 15 (Amp) ‘[Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation.’  Now as I see it Jesus Christ is God’s firstborn and He is the exact likeness of the ‘invisible God’.   Just because we cannot see God it doesn’t mean He can’t see what we are up to.

My God is a Good God

‘O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good!  Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.’  Psalm 34: 8 As a Christian I believe in the Goodness of my God, I know that He has good things in store for me.  Proverbs 31: 18 ‘She tastes and sees that her gain from work [with and for God] is good; her lamp goes not out, but it burns on continually through the night [of trouble, privation, or sorrow, warning away fear, doubt and distrust].’  Working hard to maintain a good life I can only do this because I believe my God is Good, I can trust in Him and know that He will protect me and help me when I need it.

        My God is Anthropomorphism

I had to make sure about this word and it states that in Wikipedia this is a personification, is an attribution of human form.  In Exodus 33: 19 – 23 ‘And God said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim My name, THE LORD, before you; for I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy and loving-kindness on whom I will show mercy and loving-kindness.  But, He said, You cannot see My face, for no man shall see Me and live.  And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place beside Me, and you shall stand upon the rock, and while My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.  Then I will take away My hand and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.’  Awesome isn’t it, God said to Moses that He would let Moses see as God walked past him.  Keeping him safe in the cleft.  My word, what an awesome God we serve.

My God will supply ...

Habakkuk 3 the prayer that Habakkuk prayed, I want to personalize for myself.  Dear Abba Father, “ O Lord, now I have heard your report, and I worship You in awe for the fearful things you are going to do.  In this time of my deep need, begin again to help me, as you did in years gone by.  Show me Your power to save me, in Your wrath, remember mercy.

Lord God I see You moving across the deserts from Mount Sinai, Your brilliant splendor fills the earth and sky;  Your glory fills the heavens, and the earth is full of Your praise!  What a wonderful God YOU ARE!!!!

Lord, Abba Father from Your hands flash rays of brilliant light.  You rejoice in Your awesome power.  Pestilence marches before you; plague follows close behind.  You stop; You stand still for a moment, gazing at the earth.  The You shake the nations, scattering the everlasting mounts and leveling the hills.  Your power is just the same as always!!!  I see the people of Cushan and of Midian in mortal fear.

Abba Father was it in anger, Lord you smote the rivers and parted the sea?  Were You displeased with them?  No, You were sending Your chariots of salvation!  All saw Your power!!!  Then springs burst forth upon the earth at Your command!  The mountains watched and trembled.  Onward  swept the raging water.  The mighty deep cried out, announcing its surrender to the LORD.  The lofty sun and moon began to fade, obscured by brilliance from your arrows and the flashing of your glittering spear.

Lord You marched across the land in awesome anger and trampled down the nations in Your wrath.  You went out to save Your chosen people.  You crushed the head of the wicked and laid bare his bones from head to toe.  You destroyed with their own weapons those who came out like a whirlwind, thinking Israel would be an easy prey.

Your horsemen marched across the sea; the mighty waters piled high. 16 I tremble when I hear all this; my lips quiver with fear. My legs give way beneath me, and I shake in terror. I will quietly wait for the day of trouble to come upon the people who invade us.

Even though the fig trees are all destroyed, and there is neither blossom left nor fruit; though the olive crops all fail, and the fields lie barren; even if the flocks die in the fields and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will be happy in the God of my salvation.  The Lord God is my strength; He will give me the speed of a deer and bring me safely over the mountains.”

Amen
