The Power of Your Words!

Proverbs 18: 21 (Contemporary English Version)
“Words can bring death or life! Talk too much, and you will eat everything you say.”

Sitting in the taxi on my way to work last year I was confessing that I would be working another year. I said to myself I will be travelling in this taxi to work with all these people next year. Today I am in the office and my contract has been renewed. I have also said that my salary will increase and that my tithing will increase. I have received an increase in salary actually it was decreased but I decided to increase my tithings. All of a sudden our finances are under major attack. Nevertheless, Romans Chapter 4 verses 17 remind me to call the things not as though they were. I have decided to call my finances in and my job.

I know we have a bad habit of stating negative words over our lives and I want to encourage you today to stop speaking death into your own life. If you desire a change to take place in your life, state the change, believe the change and see the change. No one knew I was confessing my future, no one knew I was praying for a future and a job. God knew and He heard my prayers.

If there was anybody that could complain it must be Job, but in Job Chapter 22 verses 28 Job writes “He will do whatever you ask, and life will be bright.” Have you been asking? I am so grateful that the Lord heard my confession and my words have established a thing, what thing? My job and a future for this year.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, O LORD, thank You for Your loving kindness, thank You LORD for always being there for me. LORD, I want to praise and worship You today. LORD, You are worthy of Praise and Worship. You have given us a second chance and You are always there for us. Praise You LORD, God Almighty. LORD, You are my beginning and my end, my morning, my afternoon and my evening. I LOVE You, LORD, in the Holy Name of the LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

Sealed with a kiss

Mark 14: 44 – 46 AMP

“Now the betrayer had given them a signal, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him and lead Him away safely [under guard].”  When Judas came, immediately he went up to Jesus and said, “Rabbi (Master)!” and he kissed Him [forcefully]. They laid hands on Him and seized Him.”

Judas walked into the garden of Gethsemane and saw the Lord Jesus. He walked up the Lord Jesus and kissed Him. The sign was given and Jesus was arrested. Sometimes we don’t even see how treacherous people are. We trust them and believe they have our best at heart when they actually are plotting against us.

The Lord knew Judas was going to betray Him. He spoke about it and was actually waiting for Judas. I wonder what Judas was thinking when he walked up to the Lord Jesus. You deserve everything that is coming your way? Afterwards, we read Judas felt terrible about the whole matter and ran back to the chief priests and threw them with the money they paid him. Too little too late, you might say. He hung himself out of remorse. He didn’t know things were going to turn out so badly. Judas loved money and now he despised it. It changed him and made him into a true betrayer.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, humbly we pray that You will help us face each day. Forgive us if we have sinned against You knowingly or unknowingly. If we have betrayed You or any of our friends. Please, Lord, forgive us, help us to repent and make the right choices. We cannot face today without You Lord Jesus. Amen

Jehovah El Emeth – LORD God of truth

Psalm 31: 5 KJV
“Into thine hands I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.”

Why is telling the truth so important to me? I feel God gave me the ability to discern when someone is telling a lie. I also believe God gave me His Word [Bible] so that I can have a measuring stick.

Look I realise I am not what you could say a perfect person, I do have many problems but one thing I truly appreciate is people that tell the truth. Regardless of what the consequence may be.

I want to stay in God's Word and under God's power of truth that makes my life choices so much easier. I am able to discern right from wrong and with God's help I am getting there slowly but surely.

Prayer

LORD God of truth thank You that I am able to learn from You, the truth in Your word for my daily living. Lord, thank YOU, that You have opened my eyes and ears to Your word. Teach me to live according to Your Word. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Easy Way to adapting to others.

https://willlukang.com/2012/04/19/adapting-to-the-situation/

Romans 12: 16 ESV
“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.  Never be wise in your own sight.”

I hope this message will encourage you today. I used to be a difficult person, constantly being upset with others. I soon realized that I needed to relax towards other people and accept them for who they were. I also realized that I don’t know everything, I stopped being this “know it all.”  I am no better than the next person.

Something I find lacking in our society is “civility” people swear at each other, they swear while speaking in general and cures all the time. They also seem to think they are better than others and want constant praise and approval. I also see that people seem to believe they are so smart.

I learned to consider other people’s feels, accommodate people all the time if you truly love someone it won’t be so difficult to accommodate the next person. You will stand back and let them have what they are looking for.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, LORD, my God and my helper today I humbly stand before You asking for forgiveness of sins. Lord help me to always see people through Your eyes. They are Your children and I am just a vessel You can use. Help me understand their circumstances and help me to help them in their time of need. In the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Elohim Ozer Li – God is my helper.

http://listening.place/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/33.jpg

Psalm 54: 4
“Behold, God is my helper; the LORD is the upholder of my life.”

I find that my mouth goes dry when I feel anxious. A tightening of my throat takes place causing my voice to sound all raspy. I feel anxious and a little overwhelmed at times and the only refuge is the LORD God my helper.

What sets me apart from my fellow man? My faith, I believe God is the cornerstone of my life. Without Him I am nothing. I can’t do anything right in any case.

I know God understands me and knows my circumstances and what I am facing every day. I believe God is able to turn my circumstances around and make my path straight. What about you? Do you know that God is your helper? Are you able to turn to Him when you are facing difficult times?
I want to encourage you today, turn to God.  He can help you.

Elohim Ozer Li, O God my helper. Thank You, that I am able to turn to You in my hour of need. Please show me the way forward.  Strengthen me and guide me in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Lying lips

Proverbs 12: 22 (NIV)
“The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.”

I stand listening to this person telling me lies. My reaction is instant; I can feel my blood boiling, heat rushing up into my face. My ears are ringing and my first instinct is to grab this person and throttle them. The urge to sort them out immediately is pushing me I need to take control of my emotions but my face has given me away.

To top it off this person stands looking at me as though I am totally mad. They feel they can get away with this and I can’t imagine how. If I feel like this when someone tells me a lie, I wonder how God feel about us telling lies.

I can relate to God’s detesting lying lips, it hurts me to think they pull the wool over my eyes when I know for a fact they are lying. Do they underestimate my intelligence? I wonder, do we underestimate God’s intelligence? Be careful don’t tell lies its terrible, I believe own up to your mistakes, take the punch.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, people around us underestimates our intelligence and feels they can pull the wool over our eyes. Why they do that I don’t know but I am sure that it must grate your teeth too. Forgive me if I have lied to anybody knowingly or unknowingly. I humble myself before You asking for forgiveness of this kind of sin. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

Rejoice always in the LORD.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-19

“Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.  Do not quench [subdue, or be unresponsive to the working and guidance of] the [Holy] Spirit.”

What makes me happy? Was on my mind this morning? I am so grateful for my family and friends. I have a great support system and I can turn to my family anytime and I believe they will be there for me. I believe God blessed my life with a good husband, all my children and my grandchildren and God have allowed my mom to live another year.  His grace abounds and we can say thank You, Lord.
I rejoice in knowing that the Lord still is there for me, I am grateful that I am able to come into His presence each and every day.

What makes you happy? Things don’t bring you happiness, if you are emotional unhappy you will struggle with every aspect of life. God gives us the assurance that we can come to Him any time of the day and He is there for us. I am grateful that I can come to the Lord day or night. He is there for me. Bless Him forever and ever.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Lord I want to rejoice always in You Lord Jesus, I bring You all my praise and I want to say thank You Lord for another day. Thank You for Your loving-kindness and all the good gifts You give me. I love and worship You, Lord, in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

True Love

Colossians 1: 15 (NIV)

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.”

I know we cannot see Jesus Christ of Nazareth nor God, but we who believe in Jesus Christ know that God loves us unconditionally. I don’t know how to even comprehend Gods love towards me, the price the Lord Jesus Christ paid on the cross for my life. I am so grateful and I wish there were words to express how much I love the Lord.

My one true love is the LORD Jesus Christ; I love Him because He first loved me. I am a child of the living God. I am trusting God and ask Him to understand His love for me. I am His child but I don’t think I truly know the extent of God’s love towards me.

I know love is patient and kind, love does not envy or boast, it is not arrogant or rude. I have watched many couples and sometimes my mouths fall open. The way they speak to each other makes me cringe, is that love? They cannot even be civil towards each other, swearing and cursing. Love this and that but no kind words come out of their mouths.

Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ today I want to pray and ask You to please show me the extent of Your love towards me today. I am uncertain of the extent of Your love. Help me to understand what You did for me. I have seen all the movies and I read Your word, today I am asking You help me understand Your love for me. Thank You, Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

Why Worry?

Matthew 6: 27 (NASB)
“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?”

Sitting down my right leg automatically starts swinging; I am feeling impatient and playing with my ring on my left hand. I must bake a couple of cakes, the lounge needs a good clean. I want to write something for my blog. I feel worried that I won't have enough time to get to everything. It drives me crazy; you will never find me sitting around doing nothing.

I don't worry about money or things like that, I feel worried that I just never have enough time to do all my chores. When I go to bed I feel so tired it seems I didn't get around to do what I set out to do. What will become of me? It irritates me that I stay busy and other people can sit around doing nothing.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Lord thank You for today, thank You that we can come and sit at Your feet today. Lord helps me to relax and trust in You. You have graced me with a new day, and Your mercies are new every day. Thank You, Lord, let Your will be done today in my life as You wish. I worship and praise You, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

tAkEn

Hebrews 11: 5 (ESV)
“By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.”

How can I get into a personal relationship with the LORD? I believe we need to accept the LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth as our LORD and Saviour. Then we need to build our relationship through studying God's word [Bible] each day.

Faith is the key to please God. I also feel Enoch had a personal relationship with God. Enoch woke up early praying for the day ahead, reading scripture and helping others. Waiting on the Lord for answers and obeying God's commands.

In all honesty, I believe we only please God infractions. I feel I fail God every day with something. I let Him down without knowing it. He loves me I know, I am still able to do what I want but my faith isn't that strong and my commitment is lacking.

Prayer

LORD I would love to be pleasing to You. I am striving to grow my relationship with You. I am seeking Your kingdom every day. I need guidance and wisdom, I need understanding and I need You. I know without faith I am lost and I need You to show me the next step. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

Strengthen your hands.

Zechariah 8: 13 (AMP)
“And as you have been a curse among the nations, O house of Judah (Southern Kingdom) and house of Israel (Northern Kingdom), so I will save you, that you may be a blessing. Fear not; let your hands be strong.”

A Hadida dropped down into our garden and paced the lush green lawn looking for some morsels. I was staring out of the window watching the bird eat something. Unaware of the cat behind one of the bushes the bird walked up and down the lawn. He seemed so safe and sure of himself.

At the time I was thinking of how God saves people, what will happen to this bird? All of a sudden our cat leapt out and launched forward trying to capture his prey, the bird hopped out of reach and flew up into a tree above, it was a near miss.

I felt abandoned, alone and rejected. There seemed no one ever thought of me. Watching the bird and the cat reminded me that I am not alone and that God is with me every step of the way.

Prayer

Thank You, LORD, for this verse, we may feel cursed in life when in fact You have saved us. We are being blessed every step of the way. Lord open our eyes to Your blessings and show us the way forward.  In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
