"May the best day of your past Be the worst day of your future." My Dad always wished me this Irish Blessing and I want it to matter today and every other day in my life.

Lord, I cry out to You today!
John 16:
33 ESV
“I have
said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will
have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
This morning I needed to cry out to God, I needed to
bring my fears, my problems and my anxiety to Him. I know when King David was
facing difficult times, he would call out to God. Psalm 18 verse 6 he cries out
"In my distress, I cried out to the Lord." I feel abandoned and all
alone.
I will pray, about my circumstances, and I trust in
the Lord. God is my refuge, and I can run to Him every day. Proverbs tells me
that "The name of the Lord is a
strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."
The Lord Jesus tells us that we will go through trials
and tribulations. It's all part of our journey.
Paul speaks of disciplining his body, taking charge of
it lest he falls. 1 Corinthians 9: 27 ESV: "But
I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others
I myself should be disqualified." I am trying to be obedient and trust
in the Lord. Laying down my selfish motives and waiting for Him to move in my
life.
I believe dying to self is going to bring suffering,
which in the end will bring hope too. Jesus Christ overcame the world then so
can I.
Prayer
Elohim Almighty God, You have heard my prayers this
morning, I am struggling to overcome my flesh. Please, Lord, I need Your peace
in my life today. I want to dedicate my husband into Your hands, bless him
today. Guide him and take care of him in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Scripture for Monday
Remember people who have faith don't make sense, it's all about trusting in God, allowing Him to move into your heart.
Joshua 6:15-20 New Living Translation (NLT)
15 On the seventh day, the Israelites got up at dawn and marched around the town as they had done before. But this time they went around the town seven times. 16 The seventh time around, as the priests sounded the long blast on their horns, Joshua commanded the people, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the town! 17 Jericho and everything in it must be completely destroyed[a] as an offering to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and the others in her house will be spared, for she protected our spies.18 “Do not take any of the things set apart for destruction, or you yourselves will be completely destroyed, and you will bring trouble on the camp of Israel. 19 Everything made from silver, gold, bronze, or iron is sacred to the Lord and must be brought into his treasury.”
20 When the people heard the sound of the rams’ horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the town and captured it.

Scripture for Sunday - The of Jericho
Joshua 6:2-5 The Voice (VOICE)
Eternal One (to Joshua): 2 I have given Jericho, its king, and all its soldiers into your hands. 3 Every day for the next six days, you will march once around the city walls with all your fighting force. 4 Seven priests will go in front of the covenant chest, each carrying a trumpet made from a ram’s horn. On the seventh day, you will march around the city walls seven times, and the priests will blow their trumpets. 5 When they play along final blast, then all the people will give a mighty shout. The city walls will collapse in front of you, and all the Israelites will charge in and take the city.

Scripture for Saturday - The Coming of the Holy Spirit
Acts 2: 2 - 4 ESV
"And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Scripture for Friday - Operating System of life
Acts 1: 8 ESV

"Jesus take, the Wheel - Carrie Underwood"
Matthew 16: 24 – 25
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
I know it sounds so simple when we listen to Carrie Underwood singing her song Jesus take the Wheel. I actually have thought about it, I have given my life to the Lord Jesus, the question is have I truly surrender my life into the Lord's hands. Are there areas in my life that I am still the boss over and let Jesus just see from a distance?
We all have control over our lives and I know its sounds easy stating Jesus take the Wheel. I have decided today to truly surrender my life into the hands of Jesus Christ, my life, my finances, my relationships, my job, my friends, my family. I am not in control and that is so true, I think I might be but actually, that’s not true.
Prayer
Abba Father, please help me I don’t want to be the doormat to people who believe they have privileges. Lord because I try and do my best and keep my best foot forward doesn’t mean I am in good standing with You. If I need shaking up in my life, I know it's not easy but then I think You should shake me, let me wake up. I don’t even want to think of breaking because I feel I have been broken all over but if there is something that needs breaking please help me endure the pain and not lose faith. My prayer is that You will make me and change me into what You want me to be. I am praying this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Isaiah 59: 1
Evil and Oppression
"Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;"

Scripture for Wednesday
"Let all bitterness and wrath and anger
and clamour and slander be put away from you,
along with all malice. Be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
as God in Christ forgave you."
Ephesians 4: 31 - 32 ESV
Beware of “I will never do that.”
Romans 3: 23 ESV
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
The problem I find with this statement “I will never do that” is that is exactly what I will do because I feel I am better than that person. I am setting myself up for a fall and the devil is waiting for the moment I let my guard down. I am standing in judgement over the person who is having an “affair, stealing money, lies to parents and family or your boss.” Now I am on the devil's number one list and I have opened a door that exposes my sinful nature. I didn’t pause to think of protecting myself, putting the full armour of God on or dealing with the sins I am facing right this moment.
The Voice – Romans 3: 23 puts it like this “you see, all have sinned, and all their futile attempts to reach God in His glory fail.” Something I have learned through experience the minute I feel that I am standing strong and nothing like this or that will happen to me, o dear guess what I fall flat on my face. I was under the illusion I am standing strong and I would never do that.
My dad always said, “the thing you hate the most will come upon you.” I must tell you I have seen this in my own life. I realise that “where the mind goes the body follows,” as Joyce Meyers puts it. We think of someone at work, friendly and kind and likeable, and then we invite them for a coffee. If you are a Christian you should have prayed about this relationship asking God to protect you so that you do not fall into sin. You are starting up an affair. Romans 1 verse 28 The Voice states “Since they had no mind to recognize God, He turned them loose to follow the unseemly designs of their depraved minds and to do things that should not be done.” The worst thing which can happen to us is when God gives us over to our hearts desires.
God gave me a warning which I did not heed and when I reflect over my life thinking back to my younger days I do regret my decisions. Nothing can change what happened in the past, regret always comes too late. I have repented of this sin and I do not stand in judgment over people who fall into the same traps I did. I realise that I never even consider God or His warnings and did as I pleased. It cost me.
Lord, thank you for a second chance in my own life, I thank You Lord for Your mercies new every day. Lord thank You, for the forgiveness of sins, the chance to come before You in repentance and receive Your grace. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Amen
