Are you living in a place called “more than enough?”

 2 Corinthians 9: 8 AMP

“And God is able to make all grace [every favour and
earthly blessing] come in abundance to you,
so that you may always {under all circumstances, regardless of
the need] have complete sufficiency in everything
[being completely self-sufficient in Him],
and have an abundance for every
good work and act of charity.”

Whew … are you looking at this verse? Do you look at your spiritual life and wonder where you are currently. Yes there are three different places you can find yourself in. Let us take a look and see which one you currently find yourself in.

Are you just not getting enough? Think of this the Israelite's were held captive by Pharaoh in Egypt. Are you being held captive by anything? Think about this your salary comes in at the end of the month before you open your eyes all your debt orders have run, you still need to pay the bond. You realize you just don’t have enough to pay your electricity bill. You haven’t even tithed for the month. Now you need to rely on someone else to help you out of this bind. Are you turning to the Lord for help?

Are you in a place called “just enough?” I think many of us find ourselves there often, we don’t budget well and when something comes up we just don’t have enough to actually help. I realize this place is building our faith where we actually need to trust in the Lord. We have to wait on Him to help us if something happens. We constantly believe that the LORD is “Jehovah Jireh.”

Are you in a place that is called “more than enough?” I think we all are striving to get to this place where we know we have extra to help other people. We are able to assist people in need and have a little extra for ourselves. This isn’t supposed to be our selfishness but now we can see who we are able to help.

Prayer

Abba Father, in humility I want to pray stating and confirming that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think, to you be the glory forever. Thank You, Christ Jesus, Amen.

Prayer for supernatural favour

Proverbs 3: 3-4 AMP
Do not let mercy and kindness and truth
leave you [instead let these qualities define you;
bind them [securely] around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So find favour and high esteem
in the sight of God and man.

I don’t know whether you also experienced this in your life but when I fast I find that I am constantly in the firing line. People will be angry with me for no good reason and it seems that at that point in time I step on many feet.

It surely isn’t intentional but I still seem to do that, so in these times I humbly come before the Lord in prayer especially at the office.

I would submit my day into the Lords' hands and ask Him to straighten my path and I also would humbly pray for wisdom and insight. These are very important to me because I feel that I need divine intervention in my life and I don’t want to be the person sitting around with no support.

I also clothe myself with mercy and kindness and I opt to speak the truth at all times. I do wear this around my neck. Let me encourage you today to do the same, the LORD God is with you and will help you.

Prayer

Abba Father may I ask to receive supernatural favour from my enemies because You surround me with a shield of favour. Lord I claim this favour from the people I have brought before You and it has already come to pass in heave and will manifest here on earth. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

Two possible reasons our prayers aren't answered.

Proverbs 28: 9 AMP
“He who turns his ear away from listening
to the law [of God and man],
even his prayer is repulsive [to God].”

#1 Refusing to hear the truth. I believe there are many reasons why God doesn’t answer any of our prayers and we need to search our hearts and minds when that happens. I realised that one of the reasons God couldn’t answer my prayer was a lack of trusting that the Word spoken to me was the truth. I wouldn’t listen to the Word and turned my back on it. The consequence was that in my hour of need there was no answer. My prayer wasn’t heard because I didn’t listen to the Words, I never believe it was true.

#2 Lack of being humble. Another contributing factor to prayers not being answered is the lack of humility. I believe we become all puffed up and think the “world” of ourselves and forget that we are just human. In my hour of need I believe God revealed that if I will not humble myself and pray seeking God’s face and repent of my wicked ways, God will not hear my prayers. I also needed to repent of my sin. See 2 Chronicles 7: 14.

These are only two contributing factors that can inhibit God from answering any of our prayers.

Prayer

Father God, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I humbly come into Your presence today, if there is any sin that I should repent of I bring it to You, please forgive me. As James reminds us that when we come in prayer to You we have asked for things selfishly and with wrong motives causing You not to answer our prayers. Please in the Name of Jesus Christ I pray forgive us, our wrong motives and please Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus Christ help us come into alignment with the Lord our God. Thank You, for answered prayers in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

Stay consistent.

Philippians 1: 27
Only conduct yourselves in a manner
worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether
I come and see you or remain absent,
I will hear of you that you are standing
firm in one spirit, with one mind striving
together for the faith of the gospel;

It is my desire to become more and more like the Lord Jesus, but I know that I fail every day. It’s easy to say these words “become more like the Lord Jesus” but the truth is it isn’t that easy. I love the Lord Jesus with all my heart and I try and imitate Him as best I can and I actually fail. I believe with the help of the Holy Spirit I will get there at some stage but all in good time.

In the meantime I need consistency in my life and I like things to go according to plan. I don’t like chaos and mayhem it makes me feel uncomfortable. Something I also realized is that people tend to watch me. How I speak to them, what I say and how I act around people. It is difficult because I do have my off days.

In my mind I am striving towards the LORD and I want to grow spiritually, I feel that I am very fanatic and that I am constantly thinking and meditating on God and His word.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, it is my desire to follow You and I so want to be more like You. Holy Spirit please help me to stay consistent and to hold onto Your Word. I love You Lord with all of my heart, soul and mind. Amen

What is the story of my life?

Psalm 45: 1

For the director of music.
To the tune of “Lilies.”
Of the Sons of Korah
A maskil. A wedding song.
“My heart is stirred by a noble theme
as I recite my verses for the king;
my tongue is the pen of a skilful writer.”

So what is the story of your life? Mine isn’t that spectacular I am a normal person with a normal life. I love my God and my family. I love to write and I love to read, my life isn’t something that will make the new but I believe God is able to still use me.

I am working hard at learning how to treat people with the highest esteem, respecting other people’s desires and opinions. I am trusting in the LORD to renew my mind each and every day.
The most difficult situation I find myself in is killing the desire of doing what I want to do.

Especially when I know that it goes against Gods Word. My flesh is always against me and I really have to watch myself.

Prayer

O LORD You know that I have not made it on my own. I am asking You to help me forget what happened in my past and strain forward to what You have ahead. Please help me press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

My God gave me another chance.

Micah 7: 18

“Who is a God like you,
pardoning iniquity and passing over transgressions
for the remnant of his inheritance?
He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.”

Just writing to you today is confirmation that God gave me another chance in life. I am just a normal woman with a very, normal life. I don’t have anything to boast about in my life the only one good thing I believe that has come from my life are my three beautiful children and being blessed with three beautiful granddaughters.

When I reflect on my life and think of all the mistakes I made, it makes me feel miserable but then I have come to realize that yes, I made them and those mistakes formed my character today.

I am grateful to the LORD my God for a second chance, a third and many other changes in my life. “But you, O LORD, are a God merciful and gracious; slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Psalm 86 verses 15.

One thing that stands out to me is the fact that God is patient with me; He forgave me time and time again for so many sins. I believe that since that is the case I should reciprocate and also forgive people that sin against me. It is my desire to be patient, kind and compassionate towards family and friends, it’s something I am dealing with each and every day.

Prayer

O LORD my God who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever because he delights in steadfast love. Thank You for Your lovingkindness and the chances we receive each and every day. Thank You for Your patience. We love and adore You, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

Small beginnings

Zechariah 4: 10 NLT
“Do not despise these small beginnings,
for the LORD rejoices to see the
work begin, to see
the plumb line in Zerubbabel's hand.”

Today I want to encourage you to start whatever you have been thinking about because the LORD rejoices to see the work begin. Take the first step, do it now.

You never know what the result is going to be, are you going to start something that is going to change your future? Are you going to make an impact on the world? Are you going to make an impact in the lives of the people around you? You don’t know until you actually try it. Then once you start don’t lose heart, work hard and do what you can, then pray and trust that God will help you with the rest.

I wanted to write a book since 1999 and then one day my husband asked me, “when are you going to write your book?” It took me a couple of years to complete but I have written it, I hope that it will inspire people to read God’s word.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, LORD, thank You, for rejoicing when you see us start working on something we are supposed to do. Thank You, LORD, for giving us the necessary talents and creativity to actually do what we set out to do. LORD, I am asking that You will bless each and every person who reads this blog today, with the necessary insight, wisdom and understanding. LORD help them and I also want to ask You for Your supernatural favour in my life with You as well as with people, I ask the same supernatural favour for the people reading this blog I pray this in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen
