You are a Blessing to me!

Working in a multiracial office is always interesting, and my story today is one about sharing and looking out for each other.

Our cleaning lady doesn’t earn much and I doubt even if they are paying her ‘mini mum wages’.  Nevertheless the people in our office know this and worry about her.   One of the young ladies decided to give her a newspaper with all the latest add in it.  As she paged through the paper she sat next to her and asked her ‘what do you like’.

Looking at the stuff on the page she pick out a couple of things that seemed impossible to own and said to this young girl.  I like this and I would love to have one of these.

Without her knowledge the Human Resource division made a collection and they then assigned the task to the young lady to buy the things Judy wanted.

We gave her, her gifts today.  I was amazed at her gratefulness, tears of joy running down her face and all she could say was “Thank You God”.

God blesses each one of us with what we have and it is natural to want to keep everything to ourselves but something I learned today was the gratefulness of someone.  They weren’t expecting anything and were happy before they received what they got.

Accepting what you have and being thankful is important, we never realize what it means to have nothing,  loaf of bread, a little of milk, some peanut butter or jam.

The challenge is can you bless someone?  If so, why haven’t you?  Are you so busy that it slipped your mind?  Concisions are like; little wheels, it reminds you constantly, it turns in your head.  Going away but returning to you later.
Lord God, humbly I pray for the ability to be a blessing in the lives of people I can help.  Bless me today and help me become the blessing You wanted me to be.  In the name of Jesus Amen

Lord God You are bringing me into a good land ... I confess it today!

“For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land — a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills.”
(Deuteronomy 8:7, NIV)
I have been hearing from the Holy Spirit through the Bible in quiet time as well as through family and friends and also through my daily devotions.  "The LORD my God is bringing me into a good land - a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills.

I am going to Live my life today ... dream my dreams tomorrow and cherish my yesterday, keeping the good and letting go of the bad.

I am so grateful that the Lord My God has blessed me with the ability to draw and enjoy a full life.  Thank you Father God.

Blessing to you, because all my friends are a Blessing!!!!

Prosper through hard work

Proverbs 14: 23 The Voice

23 Prosperity comes from hard work, but talking too much leads to great scarcity.

Thinking about these word I must tell you it is so true, I have seen when I get to work and get down to business and do what is on my desk immediately I have a lot of free time the rest of the day.  By looking at the piles of paper siting on my desk talking about when I get down to doing the work and just paging through them makes no difference.  Later on they are still there and then here by the end of the week I have twice as much to process than before.

So procrastination is truly the same as talking too much about what I should be doing than putting my hands out and actually doing the job.  Another thing that I must tell you I have observed is by being diligent in working hard while the work is pouring in, this not only makes me become better at what I do, I then start to excel.

For me I would like to be the best in what I do, all the time.  I want to excel in my work and be sure that I work properly every time.  Doing something right the first time is more important to me than speed.

I believe the Word of God that Proverbs reminds me that through hard work I will prosper and on the other hand by just talking about it will lead to disaster and mistakes, which we cannot afford anyway.

Celebrate Jesus with a joy that is glorious and beyond word.

1 Peter 1: 8 the Voice

Although you haven’t seen Jesus, you still love Him.  Although you don’t yet see Him, you do believe in Him and celebrate with a joy that is glorious and beyond words.

I do believe in the Lord Jesus and I really believe that I love the LORD Jesus.  It is my desire to be renewed each day by the Word of God.  I so want to be a true child of God.  I must be honest and tell you at times it seems so difficult to be joyful and act in the appropriate manner.  Circumstances can drive you and me to act out of character.

Still I love the Lord Jesus and still I want to see Him one day.

To me to celebrate with a joy that is glorious and beyond words, I really am not sure that I will really get my mind around that.  I do the best I can as I feel that my life isn’t 100% right but I do believe that I am a child of God.

My love for the LORD Jesus is real and never stop thinking about Him, each day His on my mind.
Celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ with me and enjoy a wonderful peace filled December.

You are a blessing!!

What is love?

<img src="love.jpg" alt="love" width="300" height="200">

We watch our parents love

Where do we learn to love?

Oscar Wild wrote ‘Keep love in your heart.  A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.’  Love is patient, love is kind, love endures all things and love is unconditional.
December is a month of celebration, thankfulness and mostly of showing how much we love and care for each other.  We all learned this by watching our parents.  Where did they learn it?  Of course from their parents and then the question I pose is how did it all come about?  To my mind I believe it to be through the birth of someone so important and still with each of us.  The Lord Jesus Christ, the fact of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
Just by reading and following the word we learn that the Lord was kind, He loved unconditionally and had deep compassion for people.  We need to take a page from His book.  Watching my grandchildren I have come to realize they have unconditional love.  They love you just the way you are.  They accept you as you are and they adore you for who you are.
Christmas is a time to show your love to family and friends.  We speak about our ‘loved one’s’ let’s start by being considerate, patient, understanding.  Let reach out this Christmas and make a difference.
Love drives away hatred; it drives away pain and brings joy into our hearts.  Remember love is not a feeling it is an act of your heart.  Lift someone’s life up today by loving them for who they are.
Placing someone else happiness before your own is an act of love.  Reminding us to listen more carefully and understand more fully with love we can change each other.
Be a toddler today and love unconditionally, start with baby steps and progress to see a life changed yours and mine.  I love you!
What your parents might not have taught you is to get good Insurance.
