"May the best day of your past Be the worst day of your future." My Dad always wished me this Irish Blessing and I want it to matter today and every other day in my life.

Mandela day
Mandela Day is being celebrated here in South Africa today. Our company has challenged their workers to contribute cash, clothing, blankets, food and books to the needy.
We all went to different locations to distribute the goods and help the people. My heart almost broke when I saw the conditions these people are living in. The poverty and hardships are unspeakable.
God has blessed so many people's lives today, with gifts from our company. The people I work with are wonderful and I am so impressed with their generosity.
We just wish we could have given more.
God bless the people.

Believing God is changing my life!
Romans 8: 28 ESV
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good.”
Have you ever wanted to go back into the past and change things? You know you may have done something that you wish you could change today? It's not going to happen, I know. The fact of the matter is its over and done with the only way is moving forward. I love King David he was a man after God's own heart. When I look at his life; I know he made some big mistakes. He was an adulterer and a murder too.
The one thing that does encourage me about King David is the fact that he loved God. He wrote most of the Psalms. My soul is lifted up in reading Psalms.
I realise God chose me and I am where I am for a reason. My journey is up and down. I know people stand in judgement and look down on me. I know they have made up their minds about me. I also know God has given me a second chance.
My hope is in God, and I believe whatever; failures I had will change into victories.
I believe God can bring good out of my bad situation.
Prayer
Lord thank You, for a second and a third and a fourth chance in life. Thank You, for being in control of my life. Thank You, Lord, that I can come into Your presence even after my failures. I love You, Lord. In Jesus Christ's name Amen.

Fear can paralyse you!
Psalm 56: 3 – 4 AMP
“When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. In God, whose word I praise; In God, I have put my trust; I shall not fear. What can mere man do to me?”
My emotional intelligence isn't quite up to standard according to me. I am not someone that is fearful, but I have come to realise that I am anxious. My nerves feel drained. I felt everything is crushing me.
It's like an axe hovering over my head. I am just waiting for something to come crashing down on me. I cannot put my finger on it, but I still have this dread feeling. I need to place my trust in God and yet I seem to miss the point. Within hours I am struggling with a lower backache. It feels like my legs are incapable of moving. I have allowed fear to infiltrate my life again, forgetting God is in control.
I know that my life is in God's hands and that everything will work out just fine. I am anxious about my future and what it holds. I don't know why I feel this way. I wish I could grasp the Word of God and keep it in my heart. "You hem me in behind and before; You have laid Your hand upon me." Psalm 139 verse 5. I keep my eyes focused on You Lord.
I will not allow fear to cripple me today and I know You are all around me.
Prayer
Abba Father, please help me today. Please give me peace for today, guide me. I believe You are with me every step of the way. I love and adore You, thank You Lord for Your loving kindness. In the name of Christ Jesus of Nazareth. Amen

I love baking

Karen and Heeran for ordering cake from me.
God bless you guys.
Happy Birthday Heeran!
#FridayGratitude!
1 Thessalonians 5: 16 – 18 AMP
“Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”
My journey has been interesting this year and my goodness something I took away this year never tells others how God is blessing you. Let them see the blessings don’t actually go and say “God blessed me with this and that.” I found out the minute I did that my blessings were stolen away and I felt terrible afterwards.
I am so grateful that God keeps all His promises. I have many friends and the one thing that I found is that people do not keep their promises. They failed me and I was so disappointed but then I look at them and realize they are people, it’s their nature.
My God is everything to me, I am grateful for today, I am so grateful for my job. I am grateful for my husband and family. I am grateful that I can breathe and enjoy good health. I am grateful to God for His blessings in my life. I am grateful for open doors for my family and friends. I call on God to give each one of us the necessary wisdom and understanding for today and for the rest of the week.
I am grateful that God is in control of each one of our lives. I am grateful that I can sit here and chat with you. My hope is that God is intertwined in my life and that I will not disappoint Him. I feel my heart leap with joy when I see God’s hand in my life. I used to magnify my problems unnecessarily and today I sparkle with joy. God’s hand is on my life. Whatever you want to ruin in my life, God is using it to grow me and strengthen me.
Prayer
Lord, humbly I stand before You, thank You for Your loving kindness and thank You for the blessings in my life. I pray that You will help me move past the people who are trying to ruin my life and let me sparkle going forward with You Spirit. Lord, I am calling on You to bless each and every person today. I pray for open doors, I pray for supernatural favour with You today as well as with people. Thank You Abba Father, I love and adore You, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen

Calling God’s Blessing Into my Life!
Malachi 3: 10 AMP
“Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessings until there is no more room to receive it.”
How do you view blessings from God? I used to think God needed to bless me financially, I thought it was the only way I would be blessed. As I grow older I realised that God’s blessings are in small unexpected gifts. I believe God sees a need and sends someone to address that specific need. I think God used people to do His work and we should be obedient in that way.
I know God uses all kinds of people to help others. We are His hands and feet without obedient Christians we cannot perform God’s work. I look at the people out there and I see that there is a need but there aren’t that many people out there that want to help.
Let’s bless other people when you see a need and you are able to assist them, why don’t you take action and do something. You might just be serving an angle of the LORD.
I think of St. Martin, he was a soldier and saw a poor beggar lying on the side of the road. It was freezing cold. Martin took his cloak and cut it in half and covered the poor guy. He tried to help him as best he could. That night in a vision the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to him. After this encounter Martin’s life changed drastically.
We are all looking for an encounter with the LORD, I know that I am.
Prayer
Lord, we give when we think about it but today help each one of us to give and see how You will come and speak to us. Lord I believe that we are Your hands and feet here on earth, enable each one of us to do the work You wanted us to do. Lord, thank You for Your lovingkindness and thank You for Your wisdom, insight and understanding. In the holy name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Amen

The Price in Giving?
2 Samuel 24: 23 ESV
“But the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.”
I wonder if it is hard for you to put money in the offerings at the church on Sunday, and what about your tithings? I have been thinking about what Kind David did.
He wanted to praise God and wanted to bring an offering. I see that this guy Araunah wanted to give everything to King David for free. King David refused to take the gift but insisted on paying the full price for the threshing floor and oxen fifty shekels of silver.
Giving is something we must learn doing, it's nothing we do willingly.
I have heard it said, “give until it hurts.”
Prayer
Dear Lord, You know I love You, I do. I try and give as much as I can and I just want to say thank You, for giving back to me. In the name of my Lord, and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen

A Gift to say I’m sorry!
Genesis 33: 8 NLT
8 “And what were all the flocks and herds I met as I came?” Esau asked. Jacob replied, “They are a gift, my lord, to ensure your friendship.”
I know everybody has disagreements in their lives with family and friends. The interesting part is that we need to stop and take control of our own emotions. I always buy a small gift say “I’m sorry.” The attitude my husband has towards my gift sometimes can be disturbing. He would just put the gift on the side table next to the bed and not accept it. I don’t give up and try again.
Lessons I have learned is that it’s not always in my control how my husband reacts. It is however in my control how I react. I realized saying sorry doesn’t work with him. “You said it, you meant it” and he holds that against me. So I say sorry with a gift and when he's ready and accepts the gift we move on.
Prayer
O Lord, Help me to become a mature Christian. I am sorry for not always controlling my mouth. I pray that Lord, You, will search my heart and soul, cleans me and help me become more and more like You Lord Jesus. Soli Deo Gloria to the Glory of God alone. Amen

#Thursday thoughts
Robert Hicks
"Feeling we're entitled to things
without being willing to do the necessary
labour to obtain them makes
us a society of sluggards."
Lord God, I am seeking to glorify You!
2 Thessalonians 1: 12 EVS “so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
As a secretary, I used type as a footnote on all of the documents “Lord I love You” hiding the colour and sending my documents to the relevant people for approval. It was so nice to read that Bach composed 256 cantatas. His most famous was Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring this famous soundtrack from four centuries ago is still played when a bride walks down the aisle to meet her groom. I learned that he used to initial on all his music sheets JJ (Jesu, Juya – it meant “Jesus, help me).” Bach also wrote SDG Soli Deo Gloria – to the glory of God alone at the bottom of the same music sheet.
It is my heart's desire to seek to glorify my God. I feel that I lack in so many areas but it is my heart's desire to seek to glorify God. I want to do the right thing at the right time, I constantly am praying please help me do this right Lord.
It was a strange day for me, I seem to be giving people a lot of lip. I want to asseverate Revelations 5 verse 13 “Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them singing: ‘To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!’” Singing praises to my Lord and Saviour, the One I can trust with all my heart and soul.
In my eating and drinking and working I should be glorifying God. 1 Corinthians 10 verse 31 “so then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God.” I thank the Lord for my job, I am so grateful to be working this year. I am able to help others and serve God too. I am grateful that I can come to work each day and do my best work now. I am grateful for good family and friends. I am so grateful that I am healthy and God is watching over me. I want to glorify God each and every minute of my day.
In all circumstance, we should seek to glorify God. In the past couple of weeks, I have been going through a number of difficult situations. I was sitting in Church and was reminded that God is still God. Romans 8 verse 18 “For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!” Suffering isn’t something I love or enjoy but during these difficult circumstances, I seem to bloom and grow.
Prayer
Lord, humbly I want to glorify You. I love You Lord and I know that without You I will never make it. I bring my problems to You today and I pray don’t change my circumstances but change my point of view. I am stubborn and full of nonsense help me get over myself in Jesus Christ Name, Soli Deo Gloria – to the glory of God alone. Amen
