I didn’t feel I was qualified

Exodus 31: 2 – 4
“See, I have called by name Bezalel, son of Uri,
the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom and skill,
in understanding and intelligence, in knowledge,
and in all kinds of craftsmanship,
to make artistic designs for work in gold,
in silver, and in bronze,”

In 1999 I had a dream and I spoke about this dream and I said I was going to act it but I never got around to auctioning it. Why? I didn’t feel I was qualified. I was under the impression it wouldn’t happen I wasn’t that clever.

This dream stayed with me every year, I believe God put this in my heart and then in 2014 I decided to try my hand at my dream. I finally did what I set out to do, reminding myself that I wasn’t qualified.

The thing is if God has placed a dream in your heart, I want to encourage you to activate your dream. God will teach you and give you the necessary wisdom and insight you need to do what He has called you to do.

Bezalel was filling with the Spirit of God in wisdom and skill, in understanding and intelligence, in knowledge and in all kinds of craftsmanship.  God made gave Bezalel the ability to become artistic in design for working in gold, silver and in bronze. How awesome is that, God’s Spirit-filled Bezalel.

Prayer

Good morning Abba Father, in humble prayer I come into Your presence this morning. I don’t feel qualified but today I want to pray asking that Your Spirit will fill my heart, spirit and soul. Lord, I am asking for wisdom and skill, in understanding and intelligence, in knowledge and in all kinds of craftsmanship. In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

#everyday #thankyou

Colossians 3: 17
“And whatever you do,
whether in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God
the Father through him.”

Make it a habit to say thank you each and every day. The past couple of days in the New Year we haven’t said “thank you” but I think we will start this going forward.

How to say thank you? We are reminded to say thank in word or deed, and not forgetting the Lord Jesus.

As I consider today and every day going forward, I want to say thank you for at least one or two things in my life.

So where to start? I think I am obviously grateful for being able to share my thoughts and the Word with you. Yes, thank you for reading my thoughts. I am also grateful for a good life, a loving husband who is good to me, for all my children as well as stepchildren. For the food on my table and the clothes on my back and I am grateful I can still speak to my mom when I want to.

These are just a view things I am grateful for, what makes your life good and do you stop and say thank?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You, for being there for me each and every day. Thank You that I am able to come to You in humble prayer. Thank You, that I am able to ask You for wisdom, insight and understanding, I am grateful for each day, my life is in Your hands. I love You Lord with all my being. In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

I am forgiven!

1 John 3: 21 – 22
“Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us,
we have confidence before God
and receive from him anything we ask,
because we keep his commands
and do what pleases him.”

What a revelation, I allowed Satan to remind me of my past and I allowed him to keep at it for weeks at a time. This year I decided that I wasn’t going to stand for this anymore, in fact, last year I took a decision to shrug off my past and look to the future.

This morning was one of those mornings, I was reminded of something and before I actually thought about it I shrugged it off. I decided not to allow these bad thoughts to plague my mind.

I decided not to focus on my past but to stretch myself to be more this year, yes, I made mistakes and it cost me dearly but I am working towards my future. God reminded me that He has a plan in place for my life, a future and a hope. Why would I keep on allowing my past mistakes to follow me around and bring me down now?

Never again will I do what I did, I put this behind me, I am forgiven I am the child of God, He loves me and bought me with the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Abba Father thank You, for allowing me to come into Your presence each and every day, any time of the day. I believe that I am forgiven and that I am bought with the precious blood of Your son Jesus Christ. I want to pray asking for wisdom and insight and I want to pray for supernatural favour in my own life today, I want to keep Your commands and I want to do what pleases You, in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

A Chosen People

Colossians 3: 12
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people,
holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with
compassion, kindness,
humility, gentleness and patience.”

This year I am going to clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. I am going to take charge of my thoughts, I will not allow my past to plague me as it did last year. I will not listen to negative people. I will look for the good in other people at all time. I will trust people to do the best they can at all time and give them the benefit of the doubt.

As a chosen people, I believe God has placed me on this earth for a reason, I need to find out what the reason is so that I don’t disappoint the Lord my God.

I will do my best job every day, I will read as much as I can and I will mentor people when I see an opportunity.

Do you feel that you have more to offer? Of course, we all have more to offer, let’s start with little things, picking up and going forward by the end of this year we will have accomplished so much. Perhaps you and I will conquer a fear that has been plaguing us and I believe it starts with the very first thought in the morning. “Good morning LORD.” I conquered all fear because I started my day right.

Prayer

LORD, thank You, for being there for me. Thank You, for always reminding me that I am Yours and that I belong to You. I am a chosen people, You have called me by name, I belong to You. I clothe myself today with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. I believe You are in control of my life, help me stay focused and I declare that the blood of Jesus Christ is a shield around me, I have supernatural favour with You as well as with people, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

2018 Resolutions

Jeremiah 29: 11-13

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me,
and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me
when you seek me with all your heart.”

My New Year’s Resolution is to take God at His word. In the scripture I see that God said that He has plans for my life, these plans are to prosper me and not to harm me. I see that God said that He has plans to give me hope and a future.

When I meditate and think about this message I also note that God said that I should be the one calling Him. I need to go to Him in prayer with my plans too and He said that He will listen to me.
My New Year’s Resolution is simple, I don’t want to listen to negative people, I don’t want to be brought down by their negative attitudes. I want to surround myself with people who want to grow spiritually, who loves the LORD as much as I do.

This year I want to seek God and find HIM, the difference is I want to do this with all my heart and soul. What are your New Year’s Resolutions for 2018?

Prayer

Abba Father, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah in all humility I bring praise to YOUR Holy Name, I want to praise YOU and worship YOU, LORD. YOU are so wonderful, YOU are mighty GOD and YOU are worthy of all honor and praise. LORD God I love YOU, I am so blessed to come to YOU. I praise YOU and I love YOU, LORD. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

#never #destroyed

https://goo.gl/xK6bTg

2 Corinthians 4: 8-9AMP

“We are pressured in every way
[hedged in], but not crushed;
perplexed [unsure of finding a way out],
but not driven to despair;
hunted down and persecuted,
but not deserted [to stand alone];
struck down, but never destroyed;”

I realized that my emotions are something that can cause me to feel pressure and hedged in. My circumstances seem impossible and I feel that there is no way I am going to make it. Then it’s time to check what is going on in your personal life.  Are you getting enough sleep? Are you eating properly? Do you take a break from time to time?

If I don’t get enough sleep it seems despair is knocking at my door, and I feel miserable. I just cannot move forward, I want to curl up and died. Just because I am tired and there seems to be no way out.
Emotions have a way of controlling each one of us. I realized that I will never be destroyed because there is a way forward.  God gave me common sense and once I have taken my break and had a good night’s rest I am ready to face the world.  So can you, check what is the root cause of your despair.

Prayer

Lord help me not to focus on my weaknesses and let me seek my strength and guidance from You. Help me face each day and know that You are there for me. I trust and believe You know what is best for me.  In Jesus Christ Name, Amen

Learning to be patient

Proverbs 14: 29
“Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.”

I’ve heard it said that impatience is a sign of immaturity o dear that is terrible. I try to be patient with people and circumstances but some day it drives me crazy.

I prayed about my impatience because I am too old to be seen as immature. I think when I see things aren’t being done; I will jump in and do it. I like to complete my tasks and move on to the next one. The problem I face is that once I start it is impossible for me to stop.

There are so many tasks other people can do but because they are laid-back and relaxed and have all the time in the world I end up doing their tasks. It doesn’t worry me, as long as its done but now I see that these people are so laid-back that they don’t want to do anything which frustrates me even more.

Well I brought this problem I am facing to the LORD because I understand and see how life is. People do as they please and it seems they don’t have any consequences, my patience has run out and I get super angry.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Lord, thank You, for today and for the time I am allowed to spend with You. Lord, I want to bring my impatient attitude into Your presence today. Please help me grow up and let people do what they have to. Please give me the necessary wisdom and understanding to face this day, help me to stay patient and to keep my mouth shut. Please Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Who’s the Boss?

2 Corinthians 5: 7

“For we walk by faith,
not by sight.”

This is a brand New Year and I am still not quite sure what I am going to be doing.  Yes, I have a couple of ideas in place and I have written my goal list down for 2018. I sit here thinking “Yvette, who is the Boss?” If I think that I am the Boss, I am totally mistaken. When I read the scripture above I know that I am not the Boss because I am constantly drawing my strength, my wisdom and my insight from someone very important in my life.

Who is that? You may ask, well the only one that can help me, I believe is God. I cannot make it through this year without God.

Consider this, you decided you are going to do this, that and the other and at the last minute something happens and all your plans fall down the drain. You planned everything to a “T” and then before you could activate it, something happens. Now tell me who is the Boss? I don’t think you are, nor am I.

I realized something, if we were able to predict what was going to happen tomorrow and know our every step going forward, would we be on our knees praying to God? NO! We would think we know everything, we will act without God.

Today it is my prayer that when you plan your year that you will remember that God is still in control and yes plan but remember to invite God to your planning session.

Prayer

Lord Almighty God, thank You, that I am able to step out in faith and believe that You are with me each and every step of the way. Yes, I don’t know what’s around the next corner or what is going to happen to me. But I do believe that things will work out just fine. You know that I am dependent on You and I am asking You help me each day. In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Prayer #Friday

Humbly Father God, I come into Your presence today with a grateful heart and with a full heart.  Lord thank You, that You are still establishing my steps, if it was left up to me I would be off the road long ago.

I praise and worship You for being there for me, for answered prayers, for vision and goals, for wisdom and understanding. Lord for keeping me safe and watching over my family and loved ones each and every day.

Lord as I start my weekend I want to pray for each and every person reading this prayer, Holy Spirit touches each persons heart, soul, and mind. Draw them closer to You, bless them with Your loving kindness.

I declare the blood of Jesus Christ over each person right now and thank You Lord for being my savior and I worship and praise You in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen

Waiting for the New Year – 2018

Isaiah 43: 19
“See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up;
do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.”

I cannot wait for the New Year 2018, I have great expectations and I am hoping for a better future. I have been thinking about what Isaiah is saying in Chapter 43 verse 19 “See” that means we need to look, open your eyes and look at something. “I am doing a new thing!” God says that we need to open our eyes and look at this new thing He is doing in our lives.

It struck me that I am looking at my dream and I can hardly believe what I am looking at. But in faith, I can see God is making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. I also realize that God said He can turn back time and I have an opportunity in regaining lost ventures and opportunities.

My God is able to do anything I ask Him, to top it off I don’t have to worry about the past because He has washed my sins away. I also believe that even my enemies will help me going forward. I have supernatural favor with God and with people.  The truth is because of Jesus Christ I have a shield of blood covering me and this is my favor shield, people come into contact with this shield and help me going forward.

I am calling out blessings and honor and I am calling out health and wealth to each person reading my blog.  I pray the Holy Spirit will fill your lives with hope and understanding and touch your lives making it whole again.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, as we wait for 2018 I dedicate each and every person reading my blog today into Your hands. I declare the blood of Jesus Christ over each person as a garment and I pray that Your Holy Spirit will fill their lives.  Thank You, Lord, for opening the windows and doors and gates of heaven in my life.  In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Setting goals for 2018

Proverbs 16: 9

“In their hearts, humans plan their course,
but the LORD establishes their steps.”

Dream the impossible dream, write your goals down for 2018 and see how God establishes each of your steps.

Every day has its own challenges and we need to tackle the day with gusto and enthusiasm but seriously we all struggle with all kinds of mood swings.  Something may have happened the night before and when you wake up in the morning you dread that day. That is exactly when you should shake it off and try and look on the bright side of things.

So as you think about the year ahead of you, sit down and write all your goals down in ink. Why in ink? For your goals to materialize you need to actually take a piece of paper and write it down starting with My Goals for 2018. Listing all the things you want to achieve for the year.

You can either place the page in a book or against the wall where you can see it every day.

You also need to realize that sometimes it takes a while for goals to materialize and you should be patient.

Prayer

Lord, as I sit down and write my goals for 2018 I want to invite You to come and sit with me today. I am asking that You will guide me and lead me. Thank You, Lord, for being there for me and watching over me.  In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
