“He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.” Mark 16:6
One must pause to wonder if we truly and I mean truly grasp the sheer magnitude of the phrase, "He is risen!" It is a statement quite unlike any other in the history of the world. While we might ponder it occasionally over a morning cup of tea, have we allowed ourselves to imagine the spectacular impact it ought to have on our own lives?
Consider the facts: The Lord Jesus was placed in a tomb, quite thoroughly dead, and yet, on the third day, He rose! In that one breathtaking moment, the amazing grace of God was bestowed upon us all. He is alive, and through the profound act of accepting Him, we are granted the marvellous privilege of being called His children.
This means, dear friends, that you are entitled to a fresh start a renewed mind and the divine capability to tackle any task with the expectation of success. When we labour for the Lord Jesus rather than for the fickle approval of men, He ensures we are able to do our very best.
The Symphony of His Presence
This "New Beginning" leads us directly into one of the most awesome experiences a soul can have: Living in the Light. One can only imagine the scene described in 2 Chronicles 5:13-14, where the Israelites gathered before the temple. It was a veritable symphony of trumpeters and musicians raising a joyful song of thanks, declaring that the Lord is good and His love endures forever.
As they lifted their voices, something truly spectacular occurred. A cloud so dense and divine, the very Glory of God, filled the temple to such an extent that the priests found themselves entirely unable to carry out their usual duties. The Lord simply took over the room!
Is that not our greatest desire? To have the Glory of God so fill our lives that our own light cannot help but shine brightly in His honour? Today, we celebrate not just an empty tomb, but a present, living King who invites us to walk in His luminous presence every single day.
Prayer
Abba Father, in the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, we offer our sincerest thanks for today. How utterly magnificent it must be to stand in Your presence! We embrace the Lord Jesus as our Savior and trust, with full confidence, that You are beginning a new work within us. It is our heart’s desire to experience Your Glory in our own lives through the filling of Your Holy Spirit. May our lives shine for Your honour, from this day until the very end. In the name above all names Jesus Christ, Amen.
Hey, hey it is my 2 nd anniversary! This has been an interesting time in my life and I must be honest I am starting to see the changes in my own life. Firstly remember I am a city girl with this bad ass attitude, my way or the highway. Ah, now let me tell you that doesn’t work like this. My husband has a firm hand over me and keeps me in toe. I am still my own person and have many new interests. How was my day today? Well the normal, got out of bed at 04h30 and then left the house by 06h00 arriving at work at 07h00. Then to top it off in an early morning meeting at 07h30 to 08h30, then back in the office. I worked on three projects; getting information from people isn’t that easy. I firstly completed my own scope of work, followed up with the suppliers and then going back to the next person. As I work according to my time keeping schedule I then finally got to lunch time. I...
