1 Samuel 30New
International Version - UK (NIVUK)
6 David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning
him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David
found strength in the Lord his God.
King
David was faced with death and his men were really angry with him for their
wives and children had been abducted.
They were talking about stoning King David. King David must have felt wretched but he
went to the LORD, his strength was in the LORD.
Picture
this you have been struggling with a task at work and your manager has been
carrying on like a lunatic. Threats of dismissal
are hanging around your head. Who do you
call? This is the time to come in prayer
before the LORD, looking to the LORD to help you and strengthen you.
Because
you and I have a personal relationship with the LORD we can draw on His wisdom,
insight and knowledge and sort out the problem we are facing.
Dealing
with difficult circumstance also require that we need a good night’s rest, and
when rising in the morning spending time on knees before the LORD.
Prayer
LORD God,
in humbleness we come to YOU this morning, YOU know our circumstance and what
we are facing right now. LORD please
will YOU bless us with YOUR supernatural favour today and give us the necessary
strength to carry on. In the Name of
Jesus, Amen
